Connectors and browser helpers

Checked 12 October 2026. Each skill on Trilly says what it can do beyond the chat under "What you get". You choose: let your AI use your apps and do the clicking, or get a copy-ready version to paste yourself. What connected apps and browser helpers are

Connected apps. Gemini works with Google's own apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Keep and Tasks) and a few others, such as Wix and OpenTable. Open Settings, then Connected apps. On personal accounts it can find and sum up Gmail and Drive, and add to Calendar, Keep and Tasks.

Browser helper. Gemini in Chrome (auto browse) is in the US only, with Google AI Pro (US$19.99 a month) or Ultra, in Chrome on a computer, in English. It asks before it sends or submits anything. Elsewhere, use Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work or Comet with a Trilly skill.

Limits Google sets

  • A skill can be up to 100 MB in total.
  • Allowed files are text and code (such as .md, .txt, .json, .csv and .html), PDFs and images. Word and Excel files (.docx, .doc, .xlsx) aren't accepted.
  • Scripts inside a skill can't reach the internet.
  • You can keep as many skills as you like, but only 100 can be active at once.
  • Skills don't work with Canvas or Deep Research yet, and you can't share them yet.

A word on privacy

Keep Activity means Google may use your activity to improve its services, including training its models. Keep client names and private details out of chats on a personal account.

Turn off, update or delete a skill

  • Turn off: on the Skills page, click the skill, then More, then Deactivate. Click Activate to turn it back on.
  • Update: click More, then Replace skill, and upload the whole new .zip.
  • Delete: hover over the skill, click More, then Delete. This can't be undone.

Work and school accounts

Google is bringing skills in the Gemini app to all Google Workspace customers, work and school accounts included, from 13 October 2026, finishing around mid-November. Google Workspace has its own skills, built in Workspace Studio. They need Gemini Beta and an admin switch, and they don't sync with Gemini app skills.

Until then, use the Gem version, if the skill's maker made one. Trilly offers Gem versions up to 1 June 2027:

  1. On the skill's Add to my AI page, choose the Gem version.
  2. In Gemini, open Gems in the sidebar and choose New Gem.
  3. Give it the skill's name and paste the Gem version into the instructions.
  4. If the page lists extra files, add them under Knowledge.
  5. Save, then chat with the Gem when you want the skill's help.

Gems on business accounts keep working until no sooner than 1 March 2027, and on education accounts until no sooner than 1 June 2027. A pasted copy is a snapshot. It won't update when the maker improves the skill, and Trilly can't count your use in the skill's public numbers.

Linking Gemini to Trilly

Gemini can add custom MCP apps only on personal accounts in the US, in English. So most people in Australia can't link Gemini to Trilly. Download and upload the skill instead. Your Trilly library shows when a skill you added has a new version.

Gemini CLI is now Antigravity CLI

Google replaced Gemini CLI with Antigravity CLI for Free, Google One, AI Pro and Ultra users on 18 June 2026. To use skills in Google's coding tools, see the Antigravity guide.
