Connectors and browser helpers

Checked 12 October 2026. Each skill on Trilly says what it can do beyond the chat under "What you get". You choose: let your AI use your apps and do the clicking, or get a copy-ready version to paste yourself. What connected apps and browser helpers are

Connected apps. Cursor can use connections set up in its MCP settings, and asks before it uses them. It's a technical set-up.

Browser helper. We haven't checked Cursor's browser tools for this yet.

Already use Claude Code or Codex?

Cursor's docs say it also reads skills from the Claude Code, Codex and shared folders. If you've added a skill for Claude Code, Cursor will usually find it without you doing anything.

Where Paths Cursor reads
This project .cursor/skills/, .agents/skills/, .claude/skills/, .codex/skills/
All your projects ~/.cursor/skills/, ~/.agents/skills/, ~/.claude/skills/, ~/.codex/skills/
Cloud Agents ~/.cursor/skills/ only, with sync on

~ means your home folder: on Windows that's C:\Users\your-name, on a Mac it's /Users/your-name.

Rules vs skills

Cursor also has rules, in .cursor/rules, saved as .mdc files. Rules are always-on guidance for a project. Skills load only when the job comes up, which keeps the Agent focused. Trilly skills are skills, so use the skills folder.

Updating and removing

To update, replace the folder with the new version from Trilly and restart Cursor. To remove a skill, delete its folder.

Linking Cursor to Trilly

Cursor can link to Trilly. In Cursor's MCP settings, add a server named trilly with the address https://trilly.io/api/mcp (in ~/.cursor/mcp.json, that's "trilly": { "url": "https://trilly.io/api/mcp" } under mcpServers), then sign in to Trilly when Cursor asks. After that, ask the Agent to find or add a Trilly skill, and it loads the latest checked version when the job comes up. Cursor asks before it uses a Trilly tool unless you change that. Prefer folders? Downloaded skills work too, and your Trilly library shows when one has a new version.
