9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 25 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 25 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

This result is for version 1.0.0's skill files as you add them to Claude. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: Shopify charges its third-party transaction fee (2% on Basic) on orders paid through other providers, but PayPal is exempt when Shopify Payments is the main provider, and gift cards pay it only in stores created on 12 May 2025 or later (Shopify Help Center) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a tricky case 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: Shopify picks a weight-based rate from the products' weight plus the store's default package weight, so with no package set, orders just under a band limit pay the lower band while their packed labels cost more (Shopify Help Center) 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

PROFIT LEAK CHECK

Your store loses £578.59 a month in 7 places (April to September 2026). Five products lose money once everything is counted.

Products below true margin (prices include VAT, which I took out first)

Product Lost a month True margin, 6 months Refund rate Break-even price (now)
Ceramic Diffuser Stone £163.65 -£981.89 9.6% £31.15 (£22.00)
Weekend Ritual Gift Set £78.84 -£473.04 4.3% £56.39 (£54.00)
Hand Cream Trio £61.78 -£370.71 2.9% £25.99 (£24.00)
Linen Room Spray 100 ml £40.29 -£241.76 5.3% £17.18 (£16.00)
Travel Minis Kit £24.32 -£145.94 13.5% £20.01 (£19.00)

The working for the Diffuser Stone: 146 sold, sales after VAT, discounts and refunds £2,361.15, product cost £3,139.00, card fees £69.52, free-shipping labels £134.52. Refunded items count as a cost, because you saved "no" to reselling them. The other 11 products make money.

Other places it goes

  1. Shipping UK 0–2 kg, £119.52 a month. 1,282 paid orders were charged £4,219.53 before VAT, and their labels cost £4,936.66. Your default package weight looks like 0 kg, but packed orders weigh about 0.4 kg more than their products. Fix: set the package to 0.4 kg, then change the rate to £4.95.
  2. Chargebacks lost, £90.19 a month (£541.15 over the period).
  3. Free-shipping orders' labels: £508.87 a month across 663 orders. This is already inside the product margins above, so it isn't added again.

WELCOME15 was used 337 times, all by first-time customers. You didn't name any private codes, so I haven't counted it as leaked.

What I'd change, waiting for your yes

I can't change prices myself because Shopify isn't connected here, so these are for you to make. The first five are old price to new price. The last two are shipping settings.

  • Diffuser Stone: £22.00 to £31.15
  • Gift Set: £54.00 to £56.39
  • Hand Cream Trio: £24.00 to £25.99
  • Linen Room Spray: £16.00 to £17.18
  • Travel Minis: £19.00 to £20.01
  • Default package weight: 0 kg to 0.4 kg
  • UK 0–2 kg rate: current rate to £4.95

The Diffuser Stone might be better dropped or re-costed than raised by 42%.

Your company's brand locks the sign-off, so I can't use "Ollie". It's signed with the locked signature. That's set by Hartley & Moss and locked. Your Trilly admin can change it.

The internet
  • By itself: it contacts no websites.
  • Through your AI app: it can search the web and read web pages, using your AI app's own web search.
  • Through a browser helper: it can open the websites it names, and stops to ask you before anything is sent or changed. See "Websites for you" below.
  • Through apps you connect: see "Apps you've connected" below.

Apps you've connected

Only if you've connected them to your AI app. It works without them too.

  • Online shop (for example Shopify): Read the store's orders, products and analytics for the period instead of exports, and change a product's price or make a percentage discount the owner approves. Reads: The period's orders, products and analytics Creates: A product's new price or a percentage discount, each only after a yes. Never touches the live theme, taxes, apps or domains. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: The owner uploads the exports and makes each change from the copy-ready values or the hand-off card.
  • Spreadsheets (for example Google Sheets): Write the ranked leak summary as a new sheet the owner can keep. Creates: One new sheet with the leak summary, only after a yes. Never changes an existing sheet. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: The summary comes as an .xlsx file or a copy-ready table.
Where your information goes
  • Orders with customer emails and addresses, products, costs, fees and app charges: Stays in the chat; the calculation runs on the uploaded files in the AI app. Customer emails only tell first-time customers from returning ones; no customer detail appears in the answer or the sheet.
  • The hand-off card: the default package weight, the new shipping rates or one discount code's settings: The store's own Shopify admin, through the owner's own browser agent, only when they ask Only the values on the card; nothing about customers, payouts or payment providers.
  • The leak summary: A new sheet in the owner's Google Sheets, or their business file, only after a yes Products, places and totals only, never customer details.
Websites for you

Written in English. Answers in your language

Sales up but nothing left? Upload your Shopify exports and it opens with one number: how much your store loses a month, and in how many places. Then each place, ranked, with the working behind it.

It finds products that lose money once card fees, discounts, refunds and free shipping are in; shipping rates that charge less than the label costs, by zone and weight; Shopify's extra fee on orders paid through other providers; private discount codes being used by strangers; apps you pay for but don't use; and chargebacks. It takes tax out of prices first where your prices include it. Customer emails are used only to tell new customers from returning ones and never appear in the answer.

Each place comes with its fix. With Shopify connected, it shows the old and new price before changing anything, and changes it only after you say yes. Your browser helper can enter new shipping rates or code settings in your admin, stopping before Save. It never moves money, refunds or cancels anything, and it gives general information, not financial advice. Not made by or affiliated with Shopify.

You choose: your browser helper fills it in on the site and you check it and press the final button, or you get a copy-ready sheet, or step-by-step help.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your online shop or your spreadsheets to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Does it for you. You choose: if you use a browser helper such as Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work or Comet, it can do the clicking for you on the store's Shopify admin, after the owner signs in, one page at a time, or you get a copy-ready version to paste in yourself. With the browser helper, you check every answer and press Save yourself. It never types your passwords or card numbers.

  • Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.
