Connectors and browser helpers

Checked 12 October 2026. Each skill on Trilly says what it can do beyond the chat under "What you get". You choose: let your AI use your apps and do the clicking, or get a copy-ready version to paste yourself. What connected apps and browser helpers are

Connected apps. Claude Code can use the connectors you added on claude.ai, and others you add with /mcp. It's a technical set-up.

Browser helper. Claude in Chrome works with Claude Code on paid Claude plans: install it, then start Claude Code with claude --chrome.

Which folder should I use?

Where Who gets the skill Path
Personal You, in every project ~/.claude/skills/skill-name/SKILL.md
Project Everyone who works in this project (commit it with the project) .claude/skills/skill-name/SKILL.md

~ means your home folder: on Windows that's C:\Users\your-name, on a Mac it's /Users/your-name.

Add it as a plugin instead

Some organisations only allow skills that come inside a plugin. For them, the skill's Add to my AI page also offers a Claude Code plugin download. It unzips to a folder called trilly-skill-name, which is a small plugin marketplace holding just this skill.

  1. Unzip it somewhere it can stay, such as your Documents folder.

  2. In Claude Code, type /plugin marketplace add followed by the full path to that folder, for example:

    /plugin marketplace add /Users/your-name/Documents/trilly-skill-name

  3. Type this:

    /plugin install skill-name@trilly-skill-name

Claude Code shows what the plugin adds. Choose Install for you to have it in every project.

  4. If Claude Code asks you to, run this:

    /reload-plugins

The skill then shows as /skill-name:skill-name when you type /.

Plugins from a marketplace on your own computer don't update by themselves. To update, download the new plugin version, replace the folder, then open /plugin, go to Marketplaces, choose trilly-skill-name and Update marketplace. If your admin only allows approved marketplaces, adding this one may be blocked: ask them.

Good to know

  • Skills from the Claude app come with you. Skills you turn on at claude.ai load in Claude Code when you sign in with the same account.
  • Other tools read this folder too. Cursor and GitHub Copilot in VS Code also look in ~/.claude/skills. Copilot's command-line tool and cloud agent don't. See the Cursor guide and the GitHub Copilot guide.
  • Updating a folder skill is the same as adding one: replace the folder with the new version from Trilly.

Claude Code can use the Trilly connector, a remote MCP server. Run this once in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http trilly https://trilly.io/api/mcp

Then type /mcp in Claude Code, choose trilly and sign in. After that, ask Claude Code to "find a skill on Trilly for writing listings", then "add that one". The full guide is at Link your AI.
