Set them once

Go to Settings, then My apps and maps. For each kind of app you use, pick it from the list, choose "Another app" and type its name, or choose "None" if you don't use that kind of app. Leave the rest on "Not set".

Change them for one skill

On a skill's page, open Choose your apps under "How it works", and pick an app for that skill only. Tick "Use these for every skill" to save them to My apps instead. You can also change them in the skill's settings, from My skills.

Which app a map shows

For each kind of app, the map uses:

  1. the app you chose for this skill;
  2. else your app in My apps;
  3. else the app the skill's maker suggests.

Not signed in? Choose your apps on the skill's page. They stay in the page's address, and Trilly doesn't keep them.

In work for your company

Your company can set the apps your team uses, on its Team apps page. They count in company work: a skill your company gave you a seat of, one of its private skills, or when you ask your AI to use your company's apps or brand. There, for each kind of app, the map uses:

  1. an app your company locked, always. It says "Set by" your company, and only your company admin can change it;
  2. else the app you chose for this skill;
  3. else your company's app;
  4. else your app in My apps;
  5. else the app the skill's maker suggests.

Your own My apps don't change, and everywhere else your own choices count as before. Your company's apps are listed on your Work page.

An app the skill doesn't name

If you use an app the skill doesn't name, its steps are copy-ready: you get the words or dates ready to paste in yourself. The map says so in words, for example "This skill doesn't name Apple Mail, so for this step you get it ready to paste." A skill only works with an app when its maker lists it and Trilly has checked it.

None

"None" means you don't use that kind of app. Steps that would use it are copy-ready.

Your AI app

The map shows your AI app when the skill was tested in it. If it wasn't, the map shows an AI app the skill was tested in, and says so.

In your copy and in your linked AI

  • A download gets "Your apps for this skill" at the end of its preferences.md. It's listed and signed with the rest of your copy, so you can check nothing changed it. The skill's own instructions never change.
  • A copy-and-paste version gets one line with your apps, in its "My settings".
  • Your linked AI sees your apps when it reads the skill's settings, and can change My apps when you ask it to.

What Trilly keeps

Only the names of your apps. Never your sign-ins, passwords or codes, and never whether an app is connected. Your apps are in your data export, and they're deleted when you close your account.
