What you can download
- The skill, as a .zip. One folder with SKILL.md inside. This works for every app.
- A Claude Code plugin. For teams whose admin only allows plugins.
- A ChatGPT and Codex plugin. For the ChatGPT desktop app and Codex.
- A paste-in version, when the skill's maker made one: a Project version (ChatGPT or Claude Projects), a Gem version (Gemini work and school accounts, up to 1 June 2027) or a Microsoft 365 agent version. A pasted copy is a snapshot. It won't update when the maker improves the skill, and Trilly can't count your use in the skill's public numbers.
Or link your AI once
Link Claude, Claude Code, Grok or another app that supports it, and then ask your AI to find and add skills. It always gets the latest checked version. See Link your AI.
Tips
- Don't unzip and re-zip a skill you're uploading to Claude. Upload it exactly as downloaded.
- Don't rename the skill's folder. Its name must match the name inside SKILL.md.
- Paid skills download from your library once you've bought them.

Your downloaded copy
Each copy you download has its own private code. It lets the copy's short result notes (used, done, thumbs up or down) count once, for that copy, and never includes what you asked or what your AI wrote. Your AI asks before it sends one.
Keep your copy to yourself: anyone who has it could send notes as you. Don't want notes sent at all? Delete the trilly folder inside it. Or, if the copy is in My skills and your company didn't give you the skill, turn reporting off for it there. The skill still works. Skills you add through your linked AI have no copy to share: Trilly sends the checked version each time.
