9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 21 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 21 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.1 on 21 October 2026. Version 1.0.3 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: Denver's own minimum wage, $19.29 an hour for 2026, goes up to $19.84 an hour on January 1, 2027, so a Denver job can't pay less than $19.84 an hour from then (Denver Labor, City and County of Denver) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a hand-off to a browser helper What it tested: Ontario employers with 25 or more employees keep a posted pay range no wider than $50,000 a year, disclose AI used to screen applicants, and can't require Canadian experience (Ontario Ministry of Labour, Canada) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: A New Zealand employer gives a written copy of the proposed agreement and tells the candidate they're entitled to seek independent advice, with a reasonable opportunity to get it; a 90-day trial is valid only if the agreement is signed before the employee starts work (Employment New Zealand) 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

You ask

Google Sheets is connected. We're hiring a line cook at Copper Fork, our Denver restaurant (we have 3 cooks now). Tidy up my draft ad: 'Line Cook wanted! $19.50-$23/hr DOE, great benefits (health, paid time off etc.), apply by email, open until filled.' Post it under our old name Marco's Kitchen, people know it better. We'd like the new cook in by mid-November. Then set up a tracker for applicants. Today is October 21, 2026.

Without the skill

Job ad (draft, needs your email address)

Line Cook at Copper Fork, Denver

Copper Fork is a friendly Denver restaurant looking for a line cook to join our team of three cooks.

  • Pay: $19.50 to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Benefits: health insurance and paid time off
  • Start date: mid-November 2026
  • How to apply: email your resume to [your email address] by November 1, 2026

We can't wait to meet you!

Three things to flag

  1. Name: I used Copper Fork. Your brand profile has the name locked, so I can't post under Marco's Kitchen. If you want the old name for recognition, that needs to be changed in the brand profile first.
  2. Closing date: I replaced "open until filled" with November 1, 2026, which is my suggestion. Colorado's pay transparency rules generally expect a posting to include the application deadline, and a firm date also fits your mid-November start. Change it if you like.
  3. Email and benefits: I need the address applicants should use. I also dropped "etc." because I didn't want to promise benefits I can't confirm. If there are others, like meals or dental, tell me and I'll add them.

Applicant tracker (Google Sheets)

Once you confirm, I would create a new sheet called "Copper Fork Line Cook Applicants" with these columns:

Applicant Name | Email | Phone | Date Applied | Earliest Start Date | Experience (years) | Interview Date | Interviewer | Status (dropdown: New, Screening, Interview, Offer, Hired, Declined) | Marco's Approval (Yes/No/Pending) | Offer Date | Outcome Sent to Candidate (date) | Notes

The header row would be frozen, the dropdowns added, and rows shaded by status. I'd stop there so you can check it before anyone's information goes in.

HIRING PLAN

Fix first: the ad can't go out as "Marco's Kitchen". Your business name is set by Copper Fork and locked. Your Trilly admin can change it. I can't post anything for you either. Tell me which job board and I'll fill in the post card, and you press Post yourself.

Other fixes (Colorado and Denver):

  • Colorado requires a pay range with a top and bottom, a description of all benefits without "etc.", and a dated, estimated closing date. "Open until filled" isn't compliant.
  • Denver's minimum wage is $19.29 an hour in 2026 and $19.84 in 2027 (Denver Labor). A mid-November start is fine at $19.50. From January 1, 2027, pay must be at least $19.84, so the range starts at $19.84 then, or the pay rises on that date.
  • Other pay: tips or overtime? [to confirm]. List each benefit.

Copy-ready ad: Line Cook (full time), Copper Fork, Denver Pay: $19.50 to $23.00 an hour, based on experience. Pay rises to at least $19.84 an hour on January 1, 2027. Benefits: health insurance and paid time off [to confirm each benefit]. Other pay: [to confirm]. Must-haves: [to confirm]. Apply: email your resume to [email] by Friday, November 6, 2026.

Approval: Marco approves the role and pay band before the ad goes up. Subject: Approve Line Cook pay band by Friday, October 23, 2026 Marco, please approve the Line Cook role at $19.50 to $23.00 an hour, full time, starting mid-November. Reply yes, no or with changes.

Who What Sent Decision Date
Marco Pay band [date]

Tracker: I'd create a new Google Sheet, "Line Cook applicants, Copper Fork", with columns Applicant (first name or initials), Must-haves met, Score, Stage, Outcome sent. I'd stop for your yes before creating it.

Next:

  • Oct 23: Marco decides.
  • Nov 6: applications close.
  • Nov 9 to 13: interviews, with the same questions for everyone.
  • Offer: Marco approves it before it's sent.
  • Outcomes: every interviewed candidate hears back within 10 working days of the last interview.

This is general information, not legal advice.

  • Cloud files (for example Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint): Read the role brief and pay band you name, and save the ad, scorecard and offer letter in Google Drive. Reads: The role brief, position description or pay band file you name, and nothing else Creates: Google Drive only: the ad, scorecard and offer letter as new .docx files in the folder you name, only after a yes. Never changes or shares an existing file. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: You paste or upload the brief; the documents come in the chat or as files to download.
  • Spreadsheets (for example Google Sheets or Excel): Keep the applicant tracker for each role and place. Reads: An applicant list you name Creates: Google Sheets only: a new applicant tracker with Applicants, Scorecard, Interviews, Approvals and Outcomes tabs, only after a yes. Never changes an existing sheet. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: The tracker comes as Markdown tables in the chat, or an .xlsx file if the app can make files.
  • Email (for example Outlook; Gmail only reads): Read the applications and referee replies you pick, and save reference, approval and outcome emails as Outlook drafts where the Microsoft 365 admin allows it. Reads: Applications and referee replies you pick after a search by role or name Creates: Outlook only: reference, approval and outcome emails saved as drafts in your own mailbox, only after a yes. Never sends. Gmail stays read-only. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: Each email comes in the chat as Subject and body to copy and send.
  • Calendar (for example Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar): Put approval, closing, interview, outcome and start dates on your own calendar. Creates: One reminder per approval due date, closing date, interview slot, outcome deadline and start date, titled with the role and initials only, only after a yes. Never invites anyone. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: Each date comes as Title, Date and Time lines to add by hand, or a calendar file (.ics) if the app can make files.
Where your information goes
  • Candidates' names, CVs, scores, interview notes and referee replies: Stays in the chat; reaches your own tracker, drive or drafts only after a yes First names or initials in the tracker and reminders; nothing about age, health, family, religion or background is recorded; references only with the candidate's agreement.
  • The hand-off card: job title, location, hours, pay range, benefits, description, how to apply, closing date and required statements: The one job board's posting form for this role, through your own browser agent Only the ad's fields; no candidate's details; the agent stops before Post and never types card numbers, passwords or codes.

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Tell it the role, where it's based and the pay. It checks the pay against the minimum there, including a rise that's already scheduled, and writes an ad that follows that place's rules, such as a pay range, benefits, an application deadline or a safeguarding statement. It sets up one applicant tracker, a shortlist scorecard and the same interview questions for everyone, so the choice is fair and on record.

It drafts the approval requests for whoever signs off the role and the offer, reference requests, the letter of offer and the outcome emails, and books every date: closing, interviews, outcomes and the first day. When you ask, your browser helper fills in the job board's posting form and stops before Post.

It never posts, sends, offers or rejects anyone for you. Candidates appear by first name or initials. General information about hiring rules, not legal advice.

If Google Drive, Google Sheets, Outlook or your calendar is connected, it saves files, makes the tracker, drafts emails and adds reminders only after you say yes.

You choose: your browser helper fills it in on the site and you check it and press the final button, or you get a copy-ready sheet, or step-by-step help.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your cloud files, your spreadsheets, your email or your calendar to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Does it for you. You choose: if you use a browser helper such as Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work or Comet, it can do the clicking for you on the website it names, one page at a time, or you get a copy-ready version to paste in yourself. With the browser helper, you check every answer and press Post yourself. It never types your passwords or card numbers.

  • Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.
