It fills in the form. Same question, two answers.

Show the answer

9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 22 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 22 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 22 October 2026. Version 1.0.1 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: When the number of full-pay relevant employees doesn't divide by 4, 2 left over go one to the lower quarter and one to the upper middle quarter (Government Equalities Office) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a hand-off to a browser helper What it tested: A gender pay gap action plan needs at least 2 actions, one for the pay gap and one for menopause, and at least 2 actions must be 'new or in progress' (Office for Equality and Opportunity) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: A bonus paid in the snapshot pay period is prorated to that pay period and added to ordinary pay before working out hourly pay (Government Equalities Office) 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

You ask

I'm signed in to the gender pay gap service. Our figures are already in. Can you fill in our voluntary action plan for Ardmore Logistics Ltd and stop before submitting? Two actions: 'Advertise flexible working arrangements in job adverts' (we started this in June, so new) and 'Review policies and procedures to meet the needs of employees experiencing menopause' (done in 2024, embedded). Responsible person: Moira Grant, Managing Director. Today is 22 October 2026.

Voluntary action plan: Ardmore Logistics Ltd (trading as Ardmore Logistics)

I can't access the service, so here is wording to copy in. Please check it against the fields the service shows, and stop before the final submit step.

Responsible person

  • Name: Moira Grant
  • Job title: Managing Director

Action 1

  • Action: Advertise flexible working arrangements in job adverts
  • Status: New (started in June 2026)
  • Wording: Since June 2026, we have included information about available flexible working arrangements in our job adverts. This is intended to attract a wider and more diverse range of applicants and to show that flexibility is available from the point of recruitment.

Action 2

  • Action: Review policies and procedures to meet the needs of employees experiencing menopause
  • Status: Embedded (completed in 2024)
  • Wording: In 2024, we reviewed our policies and procedures to make sure they meet the needs of employees experiencing menopause. The changes are now part of our normal practice, and we continue to apply them in day-to-day people management.

Declaration/date, if requested

  • Date: 22 October 2026

GENDER PAY GAP CHECK

One thing to fix first: the plan needs at least 2 actions marked "new or in progress", and yours has one. Embedded actions can be added on top, but they don't count. I've suggested a second below. Only use it if it's genuinely new or under way at Ardmore, and tell me if you'd rather pick another.

I'll name the site and give the card below. Open the service, stay signed in, and use a browser agent (Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work or Comet) in careful mode, with manual approval.

Goal: Enter Ardmore Logistics Ltd's 2026 to 2027 voluntary action plan from this chat, and stop before Submit

Fields and values:

  • Responsible person: Moira Grant, Managing Director
  • Action 1: Advertise flexible working arrangements in job adverts. Status: new or in progress. Supporting text: "We chose this because stating flexible options in adverts widens our applicant pool, especially women with caring responsibilities, and helps close our gap by improving access to better-paid roles. We began in June 2026. We will track the share of adverts that state flexible options and the proportion of women applicants and hires, against a baseline taken before June."
  • Action 2: Review policies and procedures to meet the needs of employees experiencing menopause. Status: embedded. No supporting text.
  • Action 3 (suggested, pending your yes): Train managers to support employees experiencing menopause. Status: new or in progress. Supporting text: "We chose this so managers can respond consistently and confidently to menopause-related needs, helping retain experienced women. We will track the share of managers trained and employee feedback on support, measured against a baseline before training starts."
  • Link to our figures on the website: blank (please give me the page)
  • Narrative: blank unless you want one drafted (up to 200 words)

Stop points: Before Submit and any button that publishes the figures or the action plan; at any sign-in, code, CAPTCHA, age or ID check, payment, terms or account creation; before any declaration or signature; before any button that makes it live, sends or pays (Save wherever saving publishes)

Never do: Type passwords or codes; tick a declaration; change the employer or the year; guess a blank

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Give it your payroll export, or connect the drive it's saved in. It works out who counts on your snapshot date, each person's hourly pay and bonus by the government's definitions, and the six gender pay gap figures, with the working shown in a workbook.

It drafts the written statement for your director to sign, the supporting narrative and the voluntary action plan (with the menopause action it needs), then sets next year's snapshot date and steps. When you ask, your browser helper fills in the gender pay gap service from a card and stops before Submit: you check and press it.

It never submits, signs, publishes or changes your payroll. It gives general information about the UK reporting rules, not legal advice. If Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint is connected, it reads only the files you name. Use employee numbers, never names, beside the figures.

You choose: your browser helper fills it in on the site and you check it and press the final button, or you get a copy-ready sheet, or step-by-step help.

Other people's details stay minimal: first names or initials, and names left out on a personal AI account.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your cloud files to your AI app, it can use it to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Does it for you. You choose: if you use a browser helper such as Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work or Comet, it can do the clicking for you on the website it names, one page at a time, or you get a copy-ready version to paste in yourself. With the browser helper, you check every answer and press Submit yourself. It never types your passwords or card numbers.

  • Remembers you. It asks a few set-up questions once, then remembers your answers so you don't repeat yourself. You can change them any time.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.

Try asking

Once it's added, ask your AI something like this. Not sure it loaded? Is my skill working?

  • gender pay gap reporting how to calculate

To check it's working, the answer should start with "GENDER PAY GAP CHECK".

  • gender pay gap deadline

  • gender pay gap snapshot date
