9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 22 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.
Tested by Trilly on 22 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.
Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 22 October 2026. Version 1.0.2 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.
We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.
| Task | With the skill | Well-prompted AI |
|---|---|---|
| Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: For Payday Super a business day excludes a public holiday for the whole of any Australian state or territory, even one the employer isn't in, so super for the 24 September 2026 payday was due by 8 October 2026 (ATO, Australia) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
| Task 2 of 3: a tricky case What it tested: Super contributions are automatically allocated to the earliest payday with unpaid super guarantee, so a payment meant for the current payday first covers an older missed payday (ATO, Australia) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
| Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: In the first year of Payday Super, unpaid super fixed within 28 days after the end of the quarter the wages were paid in is medium risk, not high: by 28 October 2026 for July to September paydays (ATO, PCG 2026/1) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.
You ask
Without the skill
Was it late? Yes, I believe so, by about two business days.
Payday Super started on 1 July 2026. For pay runs since then, super must reach each employee's fund within 7 business days of payday, not by the old quarterly deadline.
Under the old quarterly rule (28 October for July to September) it would have been on time, which may be why the report didn't flag it. That rule no longer applies to this pay run.
Your 2-day transit time means a payment released on payday would have arrived about 28 September. So the payment was probably released around 5 October, not on the Thursday. Please check the release date in the payroll software. Also confirm the current rules and any late-payment consequences, such as the super guarantee charge, on the ATO website before advising the owner. I'm working from my understanding of the Payday Super rules.
Calendar reminders (not yet created)
I'd create five all-day events in your Google Calendar (Australia/Hobart), titled "Seabreeze Cafe: confirm super received by all 4 funds". Each falls on the Monday after payday, which is two business days later and matches your transit time. That leaves time to fix anything before the 7-business-day deadline.
| Pay run (Thursday) | Check (Monday) |
|---|---|
| 22 October 2026 | 26 October 2026 |
| 5 November 2026 | 9 November 2026 |
| 19 November 2026 | 23 November 2026 |
| 3 December 2026 | 7 December 2026 |
| 17 December 2026 | 21 December 2026 |
The 17 December run is the last before Christmas. The 8 October run has already passed, so I've left it out.
Shall I go ahead and create these? I can also add the 7-business-day deadline to each event description if you'd like.

PAYDAY SUPER CHECK
Not late. Super for the Thursday 24 September 2026 payday was due at the funds by Thursday 8 October 2026. All 4 funds received it on Wednesday 7 October, one business day early.
The owner may have counted Friday 25 September, Monday 28 September and Monday 5 October. Those are whole-state holidays elsewhere (Vic, WA, and ACT/NSW/SA/Qld), so they aren't business days, even in Hobart.
Count (payday is day 0): Tue 29 Sept (1), Wed 30 (2), Thu 1 Oct (3), Fri 2 (4), Tue 6 (5), Wed 7 (6), Thu 8 (7).
| Payday | Due | Check (9 am) | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thu 24 Sept | Thu 8 Oct | Done | On time, 7 Oct |
| Thu 8 Oct | Mon 19 Oct | Passed | [date received unknown] |
| Thu 22 Oct | Mon 2 Nov | Wed 4 Nov | Not yet due |
| Thu 5 Nov | Mon 16 Nov | Tue 17 Nov | Not yet due |
| Thu 19 Nov | Mon 30 Nov | Tue 1 Dec | Not yet due |
| Thu 3 Dec | Mon 14 Dec | Tue 15 Dec | Not yet due |
| Thu 17 Dec | Mon 4 Jan 2027 | Tue 5 Jan 2027 | Not yet due |
The 22 October check moves to Wednesday 4 November because Tuesday 3 November is Melbourne Cup Day. The 8 October pay run was due on Monday 19 October and I have no received dates for it. I'd check it first: if anything is missing, pay it now, as that cuts the charge. The ATO's medium-risk fix-by date for July to September paydays is 28 October 2026.
What I'd do in the connected apps (nothing done yet):
Shall I go ahead with the Xero search and add those 6 events? Reply yes, or tell me which to drop. This is general information, not tax advice.
Add the payday register rows and the fix-by date to your business file?

No reviews or use numbers yet. Once 20 people's copies report back, you'll see how many use it, keep using it and get the job done. The maker can't change them.
XeroRead the bank lines for wages and super leaving the account, and the super payable balance, to check against the pay runs. It only reads.
Gmail or OutlookFind fund error or rejection messages, so a rejected contribution is fixed before its deadline. It only reads.
Files you give itOnly the files you add to the chat.
EmailYour AI app's own tool, too.
Google SheetsKeep the payday register as a sheet you can return to after each pay run. It asks you before it changes anything.
Google CalendarBook the check after each pay run and each fix-by date. It asks first here too.
Files for youIt creates files for you to keep.
Your accountsIt asks you before each change.
Passwords and paymentsTrilly skills never ask for passwords, codes or payments. If this one does, stop and report it.
Running codeIt can't run code.

Give it your pay runs and the dates each super fund received the money. It works out each fund's due date under Payday Super (7 business days after payday, counting out public holidays in any state or territory), the longer time for new staff and new funds, and when super on a bonus or back pay is due. You see at once what was on time, what was late and what's missing.
For anything late it gives the fix, the amounts and a fix-by date, including the date that keeps a business in the ATO's medium-risk group in the first year. It also checks super from before July and what replaced the closed ATO clearing house, and keeps a payday register with a check booked after each pay run.
It never pays super or lodges anything: you or your registered agent do. It gives general information, not financial or tax advice. If Xero, your email, Google Sheets or Google Calendar is connected, it can read bank lines and fund messages and add the register and checks, and it asks first. Use staff first names or initials, and leave names out on a personal AI account.
You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Google Sheets and Google Calendar, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.
Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.
Works with your apps. If you've connected your accounting software, your email, your spreadsheets or your calendar to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.
Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.
Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.

Once it's added, ask your AI something like this. Not sure it loaded? Is my skill working?
was super for our 24 September payday on time if the funds received it on 7 October
To check it's working, the answer should start with "PAYDAY SUPER CHECK".
