9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 21 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 21 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 21 October 2026. Version 1.0.2 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: An individual owing $50,000 or less can get an IRS Simple Payment Plan that pays the balance by the Collection Statute Expiration Date, generally 10 years from assessment, once current on all filing and payment requirements (IRS, United States) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: When a Self Assessment payment deadline falls on a weekend or bank holiday, the payment must reach HMRC on the last working day before, unless it's paid by Faster Payments or card; Bacs needs 3 working days (HMRC, United Kingdom) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: General interest charge incurred since 1 July 2025 is no longer tax deductible, and debts on an ATO payment plan keep accruing GIC daily, so the shortest plan the cash allows costs least (ATO, Australia) 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

You ask

QuickBooks and Google Sheets are connected. Build our 13-week cash flow in a new Google Sheet. Harbor Lane Coffee LLC, I'm the only owner. I owe the IRS $21,600 from my 2025 return (filed on time) and can't pay it all at once. What's the longest payment plan the IRS will give me, and what can I afford? Payroll every other Friday. Make the sheet headings green this time. Today is Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Without the skill

I haven't pulled anything or created the sheet yet. Here's the plan, then one question.

IRS answer

  • For $21,600 you qualify for a long-term payment plan (installment agreement), which runs up to 72 months (6 years). Individuals who owe $50,000 or less can usually apply online.
  • The minimum is about $300/month ($21,600 ÷ 72), but interest and penalties keep accruing. Realistically it's roughly $400/month for the full 72 months. That is my estimate, so confirm the current rate and setup fee (about $22 for online direct debit) on IRS.gov.
  • Because you filed on time, the failure-to-pay penalty drops to 0.25% per month once the plan is approved.

What you can afford I can't give a real figure until I see your cash flow. The test will be whether cash stays above your $6,500 buffer in all 13 weeks after payroll and the IRS payment.

What I'd do in QuickBooks (read-only)

  • Bank and credit card balances as of October 20, 2026
  • Weekly sales and deposits for the last 26 weeks, to time cash in by customer history
  • A/R aging and A/P aging
  • Payroll runs, plus recurring bills such as rent, loans, and sales tax

What I'd create in Google Sheets: "Harbor Lane Coffee – 13-Week Cash Flow"

  • Assumptions tab: $6,500 buffer, collection timing, IRS payment input, and the weekly update flag (10)
  • 13-Week tab: weeks of October 19, 2026 through January 17, 2027, with opening cash, receipts, payroll on alternating Fridays, operating costs, IRS payment, closing cash, and a buffer check row
  • IRS Plan tab: monthly payment scenarios ($300, $400, $500) tested against the lowest weekly balance

Heading color: I can't make the headings green because your brand colors are locked. I'd use your brand colors instead: #3B2A1A with #C8A27A as the accent. If you unlock the colors in brand settings, I'll switch to green.

With the skill

CASH FLOW: 13 WEEKS

I can't give your lowest week yet, because I haven't read your books. Here's what I'd do once you say yes.

Reading QuickBooks (read-only, this business only):

  • Search for bank account balances as of today.
  • Pull the A/R Aging Summary and the invoices paid in the last 6 months, to time each customer's real payment dates.
  • Pull the A/P Aging Summary and recurring bills.
  • Pull payroll and payroll tax dates, plus any sales tax due.

Creating the Google Sheet: a new "Harbor Lane Coffee 13-Week Cash Flow" with Lines, Summary and Assumptions sheets, live formulas, and week 1 starting Monday, October 19, 2026. I'd create nothing until you confirm.

Headings: your brand colours are locked, so I can't make them green. They're set by Harbor Lane Coffee. Your Trilly admin can change them. The sheet will use #3B2A1A and #C8A27A.

The longest IRS plan (general information, not tax advice): at $21,600 you're under $50,000, so you can ask for a Simple Payment Plan. It can run until the Collection Statute Expiration Date, generally 10 years from when the tax was assessed. The IRS needs you current on all filing and payment requirements, including this year's estimated tax. A short-term plan gives up to 180 days with no setup fee. Interest and some penalties keep running until the balance is paid, so a shorter plan costs less.

What you can afford: I'll size this after the forecast. As a reference, six monthly payments are about $3,600 plus interest. I'll show every length that keeps you above your $6,500 buffer, and the choice is yours.

Questions for you:

  1. Is the $21,600 your personal 2025 return, and is this year's estimated tax paid up?
  2. What's the date of your next payday, and what does payroll cost with taxes?

Next steps: reply "yes" to the QuickBooks read and the new sheet, and I'll build the table and a draft plan request for you to submit yourself. Reminder: Title: Review cash flow with Rosa; Date: Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Give it your accounts, or let it read them from Xero or QuickBooks. It builds a 13-week cash flow in an Excel workbook with live formulas: money in by the week each customer really pays, money out for suppliers, payroll, tax and loans, and your closing cash each week. It flags the weeks below your cash buffer, checks the weeks just after the window for big bills, and lays out your options with amounts. Each week it updates from your actual figures.

Behind on tax? It works out what instalments your cash can carry, explains the tax office's payment plan rules where you are, and drafts the request for you to send. There's also a First Year Cash Flow Forecast for a new business. It gives general information, not financial advice, and never chooses an option for you.

It never pays or moves money. If your accounting software or a spreadsheet is connected, it reads your figures and can create the forecast sheet, and it asks first. Not made by or affiliated with Microsoft Excel.

You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Excel and Google Sheets, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.

Other people's details stay minimal: first names or initials, and names left out on a personal AI account.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your accounting software or your spreadsheets to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.

Try asking

Once it's added, ask your AI something like this. Not sure it loaded? Is my skill working?

  • Build a 13 week cash flow for my business: $12,000 in the bank, payroll every other Friday, a tax bill due in January

To check it's working, the answer should start with "CASH FLOW: 13 WEEKS".
