Show the answer

9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 27 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 27 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

This result is for version 1.0.4's skill files as you add them to Claude. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a tricky case What it tested: With no website, the modern slavery statement registry takes an email address for requesting a copy in place of the statement's link, and publishes that address on GOV.UK in the statement summary (Home Office, registry process) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: For a group statement, the modern slavery statement registry's answer for how many years it has produced statements is the one for the organisation in the group with the longest history, and its turnover band is the group's total (Home Office) 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

What the badge means and how we test

The whole example

Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

You ask

Xero and Google Drive are connected. I'm the office manager at Larkspur Care Ltd. Our board approved our modern slavery statement for the year ended 31 July 2026 on 14 October 2026, our managing director Ruth Osei signed it, and it's on our website. Our management accounts put that year's turnover at £41.8m. We want to add the statement to the government's modern slavery statement registry. Which year do we pick on the registry, and what will it ask us? Check the turnover in Xero and save our registry answers to our Drive as a sheet. Today is 22 October 2026.

Without the skill

Not checked or saved yet. I can't see Xero or Drive results in this test, so the turnover is unchecked and nothing is saved.

Two things to confirm first

  • Your saved year end is 31 March, but this statement covers the year ended 31 July 2026. Has the year end changed? It affects the Xero check.
  • You wrote 22 October 2026, but today is 27 October 2026. I've used 27 October.

Which year to choose Choose the reporting year that ends on 31 July 2026, covering 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026. If the registry offers a year-label dropdown, pick the one containing that end date. The six-month deadline is 31 January 2027, so you're in time.

Contact details Needed from you

Xero check I would run I'd open Xero and run the Profit and Loss report for 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026 on an accruals basis. I'd read total trading income or revenue and compare it with £41.8m. Any difference would need explaining before submission.

Drive sheet I would create After the Xero check, I'd create a Google Sheet called "Larkspur Care – Modern Slavery Registry answers, year ended 31 July 2026" with the table above, using the verified turnover.

Please reply with:

  1. Confirmation of the 31 July year end.
  2. The company number, sector, statement URL and contact details.
  3. Whether I should go ahead with the Xero check and the sheet.

MODERN SLAVERY CHECK

Pick registry year 2027. The registry year is the calendar year the statement is due on your website, six months after the year end. Your year ended 31 July 2026, so it's due by 31 January 2027.

Your £41.8m falls in the £36 million to £60 million band, but only if it's total turnover after VAT, including any subsidiaries. A group answers with its combined total.

Xero: with your yes, I'll read, read-only, the profit and loss for 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026 by income account, and compare it with £41.8m. I won't change anything.

Drive: with your yes, I'll create one new Google Sheet called "Larkspur Care registry answers 2027" with the table below. I won't touch existing files.

The six areas are: structure, business and supply chains; policies; risk assessment; due diligence; training; goals and key performance indicators. The optional summary questions cover policies, training, monitoring working conditions, up to three priority risks, forced labour indicators found, and progress. I can draft those from your statement.

Submitting publishes the summary on GOV.UK, so you press Submit yourself.

  • You: say yes to the Xero read and the Drive sheet, and send me the missing answers.
  • You: submit once the sheet is checked. I suggest Friday 30 October 2026.

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Tell it your turnover, or connect your accounts. It checks whether section 54 applies the law's way: subsidiaries counted, VAT taken out, and for a charity, gifts and grants left out. Then it maps your supplier spend by country and category, rates the risk, and drafts short supplier questions with a tracker for the replies.

It writes your modern slavery statement to the six areas the guidance expects, for the board to approve and a director to sign, and sets out the homepage link, the six-month date, the registry answers and next year's steps.

It never publishes, signs, sends or pays. It gives general information about UK law, not legal advice. If Xero, QuickBooks, Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint is connected, it reads only what the job needs, and it saves a new tracker or draft in Google Drive only after you say yes.

You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Google Drive, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.

Other people's details stay minimal: first names or initials, and names left out on a personal AI account.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your accounting software or your cloud files to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Remembers you. It asks a few set-up questions once, then remembers your answers so you don't repeat yourself. You can change them any time.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.

How each part works

Works with your apps.

  • Accounting (for example Xero or QuickBooks): read the year's profit and loss by income account for the turnover test, and spend by supplier for the risk map. It only reads.
  • Cloud files (for example Google Drive; OneDrive and SharePoint only read): read last year's statement, the policies and the supplier list, and save the supplier tracker and draft statement as new Google Drive files. OneDrive, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 are read-only. It asks you before it creates or changes anything.

The apps it can use

  • Cloud files Google Drive Reads, and asks before it changes anything Also works with OneDrive or SharePoint
