9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 21 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 21 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 21 October 2026. Version 1.0.2 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a tricky case 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: A therapeutic goods ad must not use a testimonial from anyone paid or given anything of value, influencers included; a paid influencer may endorse with the payment disclosed but not claim use (Therapeutic Goods Administration) 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

You ask

Today is Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Verde Haus, Toronto: our compostable kitchen cloths launch on November 16. Our website says 'Verde Haus is a carbon-neutral company' (we buy offsets), and the pack says 'Breaks down in 90 days in your backyard compost' (our supplier's test was in an industrial composting facility). Our agency says the company claim must now follow an internationally recognised methodology. Is that right? Write the change note to the agency, and sign it 'The Verde crew' instead of my usual signature.

Without the skill

Is the agency right? Largely yes, with one caveat. Since June 20, 2024, the Competition Act has required that claims about a business's environmental benefits be substantiated in accordance with internationally recognised methodology. Product claims need an adequate and proper test. Your two claims are at risk:

  • "Carbon-neutral company": buying offsets alone is unlikely to meet this without a recognised methodology (such as ISO 14068-1 or the GHG Protocol) behind it.
  • "Breaks down in 90 days in your backyard compost": an industrial-facility test doesn't support a home-compost claim.

The caveat is that the federal government proposed in late 2025 to remove the methodology requirement. I can't confirm whether that has become law, so please have counsel verify the current wording. This isn't legal advice. Based on your "re-check every 3" setting, I'd re-check by January 21, 2027.

Change note

Subject: Claim changes before the November 16, 2026 launch

Hi team,

Please action the following before our compostable kitchen cloths launch on November 16, 2026.

  1. Website claim. Remove "Verde Haus is a carbon-neutral company" from all pages and channels. Our claim rests on purchased offsets and does not currently follow an internationally recognised methodology. Until we have substantiation, please use no company-level carbon claim. We will confirm any replacement wording in writing.

  2. Pack claim. Remove "Breaks down in 90 days in your backyard compost." Our supplier's test was run in an industrial composting facility, so it does not support a home-compost claim. Please prepare interim wording along the lines of "Compostable in industrial composting facilities. Check local availability." Final copy will be subject to legal review.

MARKETING COMPLIANCE CHECK

1 stop, 1 fix. Most urgent: the pack claim, since packs must be printed before November 16, 2026.

The agency is out of date. Royal Assent on March 26, 2026 removed the internationally recognised methodology requirement. The Competition Bureau's June 5, 2025 guidance hasn't been updated, so it still mentions one. Adequate and proper substantiation still applies. This is general information, not legal advice.

Item Result Rule Fix
Pack: "Breaks down in 90 days in your backyard compost" Stop Product claims need adequate and proper testing, done before the claim. An industrial-facility test doesn't back a home claim. Use only what the test shows, e.g. "Compostable in industrial facilities", or commission a home-compost test
Website: "carbon-neutral company" Fix Business claims need adequate and proper substantiation; the Bureau judges the general impression. No evidence on file. Keep only with documented substantiation of the offsets and the emissions figure; otherwise state the specific, proven action

Change note to the agency

Subject: Verde Haus launch claims, changes needed before November 16

Hi team,

Thanks for flagging the methodology point. The requirement for an internationally recognised methodology was removed on March 26, 2026, though the Bureau's guidance still mentions it. Adequate and proper substantiation still applies, so please:

  1. Remove "Breaks down in 90 days in your backyard compost" from the pack. Our supplier's test was in an industrial facility. Use wording the test supports.
  2. Hold the website line "Verde Haus is a carbon-neutral company" until we've sent the offset records and the emissions calculation.

Please confirm both by Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

Niamh Walsh, Brand Manager, Verde Haus

I can't use "The Verde crew". That's set by Verde Haus and locked. Your Trilly admin can change it.

Next steps

  • Niamh: send the supplier test report and offset records to the agency, by Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
  • Niamh: re-check the pack and the website on Monday, November 9, 2026, before launch.
  • Re-check the claims register on Thursday, January 21, 2027.

Only Canada was checked. If the site or packs reach other markets, tell me.

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Share this month's posts, ads, packs, web pages and influencer briefs, or let it read them from Google Drive and Canva. It lists every claim, from "eco-friendly" and "made in" to reviews and testimonials, and marks each item pass, fix or stop against the rules for each market and industry it runs in, with the evidence each claim needs.

It writes the fixes in your brand's voice, adds the disclosure rules to creator briefs, checks creators' live posts on the day and 7 days later, and keeps a dated claims register and compliance log with re-check dates. Creators are named by first name or handle only.

It can save fixed copy and the log as new files in Google Drive, only after you say yes. It never publishes, posts, sends a brief or approves a payment, and it gives general information, not legal advice.

You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Google Drive, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your cloud files, your design app or your spreadsheets to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.
