9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 24 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 24 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 24 October 2026. Version 1.0.2 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: the main job What it tested: Trilly's tested skills for these jobs (its list dated 23 October 2026) are Month-End Close Checklist and Variance Notes, Payroll and Filing Calendar for Clients, 13-Week Cash Flow from Xero or QuickBooks and Disputes and Fraud Checks for Stripe (Trilly) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a tricky case What it tested: Claude's past-chat search is only on paid plans (Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise), not Free, while memory is on by default on Free (Anthropic, Claude Help Center) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

You ask

I'm on the free Claude plan. Go through all my old chats and tell me what you could take off my plate. A mate said you can search old chats now. I run a dog grooming salon in Leeds with two groomers.

Without the skill

I can't search your old chats in this conversation. I have no tool for it here, and nothing from past chats has been shared with me. I don't know whether your plan offers chat search, so check in the app's settings or ask Anthropic support. I won't guess at what's in your history, because anything I invented would be useless to you.

Here's a practical list of what I can take off your plate for a three-person Leeds grooming salon. Everything below is something I can draft right now.

Client communication

  • Appointment reminder texts and WhatsApp templates (24-hour and 1-week)
  • Rebooking nudges, e.g. "Bella is due in 6 weeks"
  • Replies to common questions: pricing, matted coats, puppy first groom, nervous dogs
  • No-show and late-cancellation policy wording, plus a polite message to send
  • Responses to Google reviews, good and bad

Marketing

  • Weekly Instagram and Facebook captions, plus a month-long content calendar
  • Google Business Profile posts and seasonal promos (Christmas, summer moulting)
  • Flyers, loyalty card wording, referral offer text

Admin and paperwork

  • Price list, with add-ons for de-shedding, flea treatment, nail clips
  • New-client form: vaccinations, health, behaviour, consent for photos
  • Terms and conditions, matting/shaving consent wording
  • Incident log template and a basic risk assessment
  • Staff rota, opening/closing checklists, cleaning schedule

Staff

  • Job ad for a new groomer or apprentice
  • Induction checklist, training plan, holiday request process
  • Short policies on lateness, sickness, and uniform

Money

  • Simple income and expenses tracker (I can make a spreadsheet file)
  • Pricing review: hourly rate per groomer by breed size
  • Reminders list for self-assessment, VAT threshold, insurance renewals

To get started, tell me:

  1. Your top two time-wasters right now
  2. Whether you take bookings by phone, WhatsApp, or a booking app

WHAT YOUR AI CAN DO FOR YOU

I can't go through all your old chats on the free plan. Claude's Free plan has memory, on by default, but searching past chats is only on paid plans (Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise). If you want that later, it needs a paid plan, then Settings > Memory > "Search and reference chats".

I can still use what Claude's memory holds, if it has anything. No apps (email, calendar, files) are connected here, so there's nothing to read there.

Shall I look at what you've asked me lately and at the names of the apps you've connected here? I look only inside this app, and nothing from your chats goes to Trilly.

If you say no, or memory turns out to be empty, I'll ask a few quick questions about your week at the salon instead. Either way, I'll then list the jobs that keep coming back, for you to tick or change, before matching any skills.

Apps you've connected

Only if you've connected them to your AI app. It works without them too.

  • Calendar (for example Google Calendar, Outlook or Microsoft 365): After a second yes, read the titles of your repeating calendar events to find the jobs that come up again and again. Reads: The titles of repeating events in the last four weeks and the next four, and how often each comes up; never uses descriptions or invitees, even when the app shows them Doesn't create or change anything. Without it: You say what repeats in their week.
  • Email (for example Gmail or Outlook): After a second yes, read your email subject lines to find the jobs that come up again and again. Reads: Subject lines and folder or label names from the last four weeks; never opens a message, and never uses previews or senders, even when the app shows them Doesn't create or change anything. Without it: You say what keeps landing in their inbox.
Where your information goes
  • What you have asked their AI lately (its own memory and past-chat search) and the names of the apps connected there: Stays inside your own AI app. Their own AI does the looking, only after their yes. Only a short jobs list is written, in their words, with no names, health details or money figures from chats, calendar or inbox.
  • The titles of repeating calendar events and email subject lines from the last four weeks: Stays inside your own AI app, read through its own calendar and email connections, only after a second yes. Only counted into the jobs list in their words; no names, addresses, health details or money figures are written down.
  • A few words per job from Trilly's list, such as 'bookkeeping payroll tax': Trilly's find_skills, only when the Trilly connector is linked and after your yes 2 to 100 characters per job; never chat text, names, contact details or figures.

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

With your yes, your own AI looks at what you've asked it lately and at the names of the apps you've linked to it. With a second yes, it also uses the titles of your repeating calendar events and your email subject lines and folder names; it never opens or uses the emails themselves. It lists the jobs that keep coming back, in your words, and you can change the list before anything is matched.

Each job is matched to skills on Trilly by name: from the dated list of Trilly's tested skills inside this skill, or, if the Trilly connector is linked and you say yes to the exact words it would send, from Trilly's current list. You get a one-screen plan with at most five skills and three to set up today, starting with the job that takes the most time. Each one says how it helps (Ask, Works with your apps or Does it for you), what your AI app and plan need for it, and whether it's paid.

Nothing from your chats, calendar or inbox goes to Trilly. If you say yes, Trilly gets a few words per job. Like every Trilly skill, it tells Trilly whether it worked, with nothing from your chat, unless you tell it to send Trilly nothing. It never changes a setting for you and never invents a skill. If no skill fits a job, it says so and shows what your AI can already do.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your calendar or your email to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Remembers you. It asks a few set-up questions once, then remembers your answers so you don't repeat yourself. You can change them any time.

Try asking

Once it's added, ask your AI something like this. Not sure it loaded? Is my skill working?

  • what can my ai do for me

To check it's working, the answer should start with "WHAT YOUR AI CAN DO FOR YOU".

  • which ai skills should i use

  • look through my chats and tell me what you could do for me
