Example, shortened, from this skill's page. Someone asks their AI: Inspector's due next month at our taqueria in Austin, Texas. Google Sheets and Calendar are… Food Safety Records answers: Fix now: Your sous chef was wrong, and the carnitas met the Food Code.

Daily temperature, cooling and cleaning logs that hold up, staff certificates tracked, a weekly gap check and the folder ready before the inspector arrives.

This skill gives general information, not legal advice. Talk to a lawyer about your own situation.

See the difference. Same question, two answers.

Show the answer

9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 21 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 21 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 21 October 2026. Version 1.0.2 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: Standard 3.2.2A: a category 1 business keeps its records for at least 3 months, and its food safety supervisor's certificate must have been obtained within the past 5 years (Food Standards Australia New Zealand) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a moment that needed a safety step 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

What the badge means and how we test

The whole example

Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

You ask

Inspector's due next month at our taqueria in Austin, Texas. Google Sheets and Calendar are connected: set up our daily logs and reminders. Yesterday's carnitas cooling: 135F at 2:00 pm, 70F at 3:00 pm, 41F at 7:45 pm. My sous chef says it failed because it took more than 4 hours after hitting 70F, so we threw it out. Was she right? Also our manager Luis's food manager certificate expires December 3, 2026. Today is October 21, 2026.

Without the skill

Carnitas: your sous chef was right. The standard is 135°F to 70°F within 2 hours, then 70°F to 41°F within 4 more hours (6 total).

  • 135°F to 70°F took 1 hour (2:00 to 3:00 pm). That passes.
  • 70°F to 41°F took 4 hours 45 minutes (3:00 to 7:45 pm). That is 45 minutes over the 4-hour limit, so it fails.

Discarding it was correct. To avoid this next time, use shallow pans, an ice bath, or ice paddles, and check the temperature at the 2-hour mark.

Nothing is created yet. I can't run the apps here, so this is exactly what I would create once you confirm.

Google Sheets: "Austin Taqueria Daily Logs 2026"

  • Fridge Temps: date, time, unit, temperature °F, initials, corrective action. It has 2 check rows per day, and any reading above 41°F is flagged red.
  • Cooling Log: food, start time and temperature, time at 70°F, time at 41°F, and pass/fail formulas for each stage. I'd pre-fill October 20, 2026 carnitas as FAIL (discarded).
  • Weekly Monday Check: a checklist with a sign-off.
  • Certificates: Luis, expires December 3, 2026, with a reminder-date formula.

Google Calendar (Central time)

  • Fridge checks, 2 per day, repeating daily.
  • Weekly check, every Monday, starting October 26, 2026.
  • Luis's certificate: the 60-day reminder date would have been October 4, 2026, which has already passed. I'd add reminders today (October 21), November 3, and November 19, plus an expiry event on December 3, 2026. Luis should book his renewal now, since the inspection is next month.

I need from you before I create these:

  1. What times should the two daily fridge checks be (for example 9:00 am and 3:00 pm)?
  2. Should I invite Luis and your sous chef to the events?
  3. Do you know the inspection date? I can add a prep reminder for it.

Reply with those and I'll create everything and give you the links.

FOOD SAFETY RECORDS

Fix now: Your sous chef was wrong, and the carnitas met the Food Code. The rule is 2 hours from 135F to 70F, then a total of 6 hours from 135F to 41F. Time saved in stage one carries over.

  • Stage one: deadline 4:00 pm, reached 3:00 pm.
  • Total: deadline 8:00 pm, reached 7:45 pm.

A "4 hours after 70F" rule would have set 7:00 pm, which is the wrong test. Log the batch as passed. Your local health department has the final say, and this is general information, not legal advice.

Luis's certificate: it expires Thursday, December 3, 2026. The 60-day reminder date was October 4, so renewal is already due. Book his exam this week.

Log When Who Limit
Fridges and freezers Opening and closing Shift lead 41F or less
Deliveries Each delivery Receiver 41F or less cold; frozen hard
Cooling Each batch, hourly Cook 70F in 2 hrs; 41F in 6 hrs total
Hot holding Every 2 hours Line cook 135F or above; note time it fell below
Cooking, cleaning, probe check, corrective actions Per plan Cook/lead Per your plan

What I'd create (waiting for your yes):

  • A new Google Sheet, "Casa Rosa Food Safety Logs, October 2026", with one tab per log above. I won't touch any existing sheet.
  • Calendar reminders:
Date Who What
Thursday, October 22, 2026 Rosa Book Luis's renewal exam
Monday, October 26, 2026 Rosa First weekly gap check (then every Monday)
Daily, opening and closing Shift lead Fridge and freezer checks
Monday, November 2, 2026 Rosa Inspection folder run-through (adjust once the date is known)

Shall I create the sheet and these reminders? Tell me the inspection date when you have it, and I'll set the run-through two weeks before.

Add Luis's certificate expiry date (December 3, 2026) and the inspection date (due November, day to confirm) to your business file?

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Half-filled clipboards and an inspection coming up? Tell it your menu, your fridges and hot cabinets, and who holds a food safety certificate. It sets up the daily logs an inspector asks for: fridges and freezers, deliveries, cooking, cooling, hot holding and cleaning, with the limits for where you are written in as figures. It judges each cooling batch against the exact rule where you are, so food isn't kept when it failed or thrown out when it passed.

It keeps a register of staff certificates with expiry dates, checks your logs for gaps every week, and builds the folder for the inspector, with a run-through two weeks before a visit. It never fills in a reading nobody took.

If Google Sheets or Google Calendar is connected, it can create the log workbook and the reminders, each only after you say yes. It can read your last inspection report from your email. It gives general information, not legal advice.

You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Google Sheets and Google Calendar, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.

Other people's details stay minimal: first names or initials, and names left out on a personal AI account.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your spreadsheets, your calendar or your email to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.

How each part works

Works with your apps.

  • Spreadsheets (for example Google Sheets): read the log sheets you name, and create the new log workbook. It asks you before it creates or changes anything.
  • Calendar (for example Google Calendar): add the daily check, weekly gap check, certificate renewal and inspection run-through reminders. It asks you before it creates or changes anything.
  • Email (for example Gmail or Outlook): find the last inspection report and certificate emails by sender, so the folder and register start from them. It only reads.

The apps it can use

Try asking

Once it's added, ask your AI something like this. Not sure it loaded? Is my skill working?

  • Set up our fridge and cooling logs and a checklist, the food inspector is due next month

To check it's working, the answer should start with "FOOD SAFETY RECORDS".

  • food safety records for a cafe

  • fridge temperature log
