The whole example

You ask

Today is Oct 15 2026. I'm behind on everything. Rent is $1,450 behind (landlord says I can catch up at $300/mo on top of rent), electric is $280 behind (they offered $70/mo), Capstone card $3,400 at 29% interest, phone bill $180 behind. Take home $3,100/mo, my normal costs incl rent are $2,450. Honestly thinking I should skip rent this month and throw everything at the card since the interest is killing me. Who do I pay first?

Without the skill

Pay first: rent, then electric, then phone, then the card. Rent and utilities can cost you your home or service; the card can't.

Skipping rent is a bad idea. Missing rent risks a late fee, an eviction filing, and losing the $300/mo catch-up deal. The card's interest is about $82/mo, which is real but far less damaging than eviction. Take the landlord's offer and put the rest on the card.

You have $650/mo spare ($3,100 − $2,450). Rent and electric catch-up take $370, leaving $280. Strict pro rata would send the phone only about $14, so I'd clear the small phone bill in October to avoid a shutoff, then put everything else on the card.

Month Rent catch-up Electric Phone Card Total
Oct 2026 $300 $70 $180 $100 $650
Nov $300 $70 – $280 $650
Dec $300 $70 – $280 $650
Jan 2027 $300 $70 – $280 $650
Feb $250 – – $400 $650
Mar onward – – – $650 $650

This is on top of regular rent and bills. Keep making the card's minimum payment each month, and check that it's covered by the $2,450 or by these card amounts. Interest isn't in the table, so the card will take longer to clear than the payments alone suggest.

Message to landlord: Hello, this is Tasha Brennan. Thank you for agreeing to a catch-up plan. I'll pay my regular rent on time plus $300 each month toward the $1,450 arrears, starting October 2026, with a final $250 in February 2027. Please confirm this in writing and that no further action will be taken while I keep to it.

Message to electric company: Hello, I'm Tasha Brennan, account [number]. I accept your offer to pay $70/month toward my $280 arrears, in addition to current charges, starting October 2026. Please confirm the plan in writing and that my service won't be disconnected while I keep to it.

DEBT HELP PLAN

Pay rent and electric first, don't skip rent. You have $280.00 a month for the card and phone.

General information, not legal or financial advice.

Debt Owed Priority? Why
Rent $1,450.00 Yes Eviction risk
Electric $280.00 Yes Power can be cut off
Capstone card $3,400.00 No Credit card
Phone $180.00 No Service only

Skipping rent to pay the card would put your home at risk, and 29% interest can't evict you. Paying rent and electric as agreed and asking Capstone to cut the interest is the safer route.

Offer: $3,100.00 - $2,450.00 = $650.00. Less $300.00 and $70.00 = $280.00 available. Total non-priority $3,580.00. Capstone $265.92, phone $14.08. Total $280.00.

Subject: Request for a payment arrangement Dear Capstone, My income has not kept up with my costs and I can't make the full payments right now. After essential costs and priority bills, I can offer $265.92 a month starting November 1, 2026. I can send my budget if it helps. Please freeze or reduce interest and charges, and hold collection and default action while you consider this. I'd be grateful for a written reply. Tasha Brennan

Subject: Request for a payment arrangement Dear phone provider, I can offer $14.08 a month starting November 1, 2026, toward my $180.00 arrears. Please hold collection action while you consider this and reply in writing. Tasha Brennan

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Tell it what you owe and what comes in each month. It sorts your debts by what happens if they go unpaid, so rent, energy, tax and court fines come before cards, loans and phone bills. Then it works out a monthly offer you can really keep to, shared fairly between the lenders.

It writes a hardship request for each lender and a safe reply to any debt collector. If you don't recognise a debt, the reply asks the collector to prove it and admits nothing, because paying or agreeing too soon can cause problems later. You get a tracker with a date and a next step for every lender.

It is general information, not legal or financial advice. It names free debt advice for where you are, and legal help if court papers arrive. It never sends letters, pays anyone or agrees a deal for you. If your email or spreadsheet app is connected, it can find letters from your lenders and make a tracker sheet, and it asks first.

You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Google Sheets and Excel, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your email or your spreadsheets to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Remembers you. It keeps your money file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.

  • Works over days. It keeps a tracker of where things are up to, so you can come back days later and carry on.
