Show the answer

9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 24 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 24 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.1 on 24 October 2026. Version 1.0.3 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: Organisations running fingerprint checks under California Penal Code 11105.3 must enroll in CalVECHS before January 1, 2027 to keep running federal checks, and each person fingerprinted signs the CalVECHS waiver yearly (California Department of Justice, United States) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: A DBS certificate can only be registered with the DBS Update Service within 30 days of the certificate being issued, counted from its issue date (GOV.UK, DBS Update Service, United Kingdom) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a hand-off to a browser helper What it tested: In Queensland, volunteers must be linked by the organisation before they continue their blue card application, and applicants must be linked and approved before starting child-related work (Queensland Government, Blue Card Services, Australia) 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

You ask

Can you do the blue card link for our new volunteer on the Organisation Portal? Sam Patel, assistant coach for the U11s at Redlands Rovers Netball Club. He's applying for his blue card next week and wants to start at training this Saturday meanwhile, with another coach there. I'll be signed in. Can you just confirm it's legally fine for him to start Saturday? Today is Wednesday 21 October 2026.

Without the skill

Can Sam start this Saturday (24 October 2026)? No.

In Queensland, a volunteer in child-related activity, which includes coaching juniors, can start once they have lodged a blue card application. Sam hasn't applied yet, so he can't be coaching on Saturday, even with another coach present. Supervision doesn't replace the requirement. He can start once he has applied and you have linked him, as long as he has no disqualifying issue or negative notice. Please check the current rules on the Blue Card Services website, as I can't see the live site.

Before he starts

  1. Sam lodges his volunteer application online, naming Redlands Rovers Netball Club as the organisation, and keeps his application number.
  2. You link him in the Organisation Portal (menu names may differ slightly):
    • Sign in and open the option to link or add a person.
    • Enter Sam's application number and his details as requested, such as name and date of birth.
    • Confirm the link and check that his status shows as applied or pending.
  3. Once the link shows, he can start training.
  4. Until then, he can attend only as a non-coaching observer, such as a parent or spectator, with no coaching duties and no unsupervised contact with the children.

Admin for your records

  • Add Sam to your register with his application date and link date.
  • Set your 60-day renewal reminder once his card is issued and the expiry date is known.
  • Include him in your next season or term register sweep.

Message to Sam

Hi Sam, thanks for volunteering as assistant coach for the U11s. Before you can coach, you need to lodge your blue card application, and I need to link you to Redlands Rovers Netball Club in the Organisation Portal. Once you've applied, please send me your application number and I'll link you straight away. You can then start at training, even while the card is pending. Until then, please come along this Saturday as an observer only. Thanks, Kerry

CHILD SAFETY CHECKS REGISTER

Not cleared today: Sam P., assistant coach U11s. He shouldn't coach at Saturday training, even with another coach present. I can't confirm Saturday is fine.

Rule: Queensland's "No Card. No Link. No Start" means applicants must be linked to the organisation and approved before starting child-related work. A new volunteer applicant must be linked by the organisation before continuing the blue card application (Blue Card Services, Queensland Government). Supervision isn't an exception. This is general information, not legal advice. Check with Blue Card Services, or ask Legal Aid Queensland or a lawyer.

Apps you've connected

Only if you've connected them to your AI app. It works without them too.

  • Spreadsheets (for example Google Sheets; Excel only reads): Read the organisation's register, and add a new register sheet or new rows and statuses. Reads: The register sheet you name, and nothing else Creates: Google Sheets, where the app can edit sheets: a new register sheet, or new rows and statuses in the one named, only after a yes. Never deletes rows or adds check numbers. Excel stays read only. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: You paste or upload the list, and the register comes as a copy-ready table.
  • Email (for example Outlook; Gmail only reads): Find renewal or expiry notices, and save renewal notes as drafts. Reads: The renewal or expiry notices you pick from a search Creates: Outlook, where the admin allows it: one renewal note per person as a draft, only after a yes. Never sends. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: You paste the notice, and each renewal note comes as copy-ready text to send themselves.
  • Calendar (for example Google Calendar): Add expiry reminders and the register sweeps. Creates: The renewal reminder date for each expiring check and the next register sweep date, titled by role or initials, only after a yes. Never invites anyone. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: Each reminder comes as Title, Date and Time lines to add by hand, or a calendar file (.ics) if the app can make files.
Where your information goes
  • Staff and volunteer names, roles, check types, the dates checks run out and verification dates: Stays in the chat, and in the organisation's own sheet, drafts and calendar after a yes. No check numbers, dates of birth or ID numbers in the chat or anything made; first names and initials in sheets the AI writes, drafts and events.
  • The hand-off card: a person's name as on the check, role, start date, paid or volunteer, location: The one official checking or notifying site the scheme names, through your own browser agent You type the check number and date of birth; the agent stops before Submit, Verify, Link or Notify and at any declaration or consent box.
  • Expiry reminders and sweep dates: Your own calendar, after a yes Titles carry a role or initials and the step, never a check number.

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Give it your list of staff and volunteers with their checks. It builds a clean register, marks who is cleared, who runs out soon and who isn't verified, and says plainly who can't work with children today. It follows the rules where you are: which roles need which check, what you must verify, link or notify on the official site and by when, and how renewals work.

Your browser helper can open the official site after you sign in and fill in each person's details, stopping before Submit; you type each check number and date of birth yourself. It drafts renewal notes before checks run out, sets a no check, no start step for every new starter, and gives you a summary for your committee or an inspector. It gives general information, not legal advice.

Check numbers and dates of birth never go in the chat, and what it makes uses first names or initials. If your spreadsheet, email or calendar is connected, it can read your register, add rows, draft notes and set reminders, and it asks first. It never sends or submits anything.

You choose: your browser helper fills it in on the site and you check it and press the final button, or you get a copy-ready sheet, or step-by-step help.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your spreadsheets, your email or your calendar to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Does it for you. You choose: if you use a browser helper such as Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work or Comet, it can do the clicking for you on the website it names, one page at a time, or you get a copy-ready version to paste in yourself. With the browser helper, you check every answer and press Submit yourself. It never types your passwords or card numbers.

  • Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.

  • Make a check register for our club: 12 volunteer coaches, 3 checks run out before March, 2 new helpers start next week.

To check it's working, the answer should start with "CHILD SAFETY CHECKS REGISTER".
