How Trilly works
Teach your AI how an expert does the job
A skill is a workflow your AI follows when you ask. Add it once, then ask as normal.
How a skill gets into your AI

Linking takes a few steps in your AI's settings, and you do it once.
-
Link
Link Gemini to Trilly, once. Only in the US, with a personal Google account. See the steps
What you need
- You're 18 or over and in the US.
- A personal Google account. Work and school accounts can't add apps like Trilly yet.
- Keep Activity turned on, and Gemini set to English.
- Add it at gemini.google.com. It's then in the Gemini phone app too.
- Anywhere else, Gemini can't link yet.
- Trilly hasn't tried linking from Gemini yet. The steps come from the app maker's own pages.
- Can't link? Download skills and add them by hand
-
Add
Ask Gemini for a skill, for example: "find a free skill on Trilly for my budget and add it".
Your first skill in Gemini
- In a chat, type @ and pick Trilly. Then ask: "find a free skill on Trilly for my budget and add it".
-
Ask
Ask as you normally would. Want it to use your email or calendar? Connect them in Gemini first.
Connecting apps in Gemini
- In Gemini, open Settings, then Connected apps, and switch on the apps you use.
- Checked 12 October 2026 on the app makers' own pages. Connected apps, explained
Trilly skills never ask for your passwords. You can unlink any time in Settings.
What a skill can do
Every skill works in the chat. Some can do more, and each skill's page says which:
- Works with your apps
Uses your email or calendar once you've connected it to your AI. It changes things only after you say yes.
- Does it for you
With a browser helper, fills in a website while you watch. You press the final button.
- Remembers you
Keeps your details so you don't type them twice.
- Works over days
Keeps a tracker so you can carry on later.
More about skills
Some skills show every step before you add them: what your AI does, which apps it uses and where it waits for your yes. How skill maps work.
Beats a well-prompted AI Trilly tested the skill against an AI given a good prompt. Makers can't add this badge. How we test.
What a connected app or a browser helper is, and what skills never do with one: Connected apps and browser helpers.
Set your name, country, logo and voice once. Every skill you add uses them. Your settings and brand.
Every skill is checked before it's listed, and its numbers come only from real use. When we remove a skill, we say so in public. How we check skills.
Only people who used a skill can review it. A thumbs up or a short review helps the next person choose, and the maker improve.
After you add it
Trilly hears how it went. Never what you said.
Your AI tells Trilly a skill was used and whether it did the job. That's how each skill's public numbers are made. How the numbers work
Questions people ask
What is an AI skill?
An AI skill is an add-on that teaches your AI assistant to do one job the way an expert would. It's a small folder of instructions, and sometimes examples or templates, that your AI reads when the job comes up.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Link your AI to Trilly once and ask it for a skill, or download a file and follow a few steps in your AI app's settings. Each app has a step-by-step guide.
Which AI apps can use Trilly skills?
Add skills to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and more. Trilly has a guide for Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Mistral Vibe, Grok, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity and Grok Build. What you can do depends on your app and your plan with it: in ChatGPT, for example, workspace plans upload skills, and personal plans use the desktop app or a Project.
What does the skill see?
A skill is a set of instructions your AI reads. It works inside your AI app, with whatever you share in that chat. Trilly never sees your conversations.
What does Trilly learn when I use a skill?
Simple facts, such as that the skill was used and whether it did the job. It never sees what you asked or what your AI said. That is how the public numbers on each skill are made.
How do I know a skill is safe and works?
Every skill is safety-checked before it is listed and again on every update. The numbers on each page, like how many people still use it a month later, come from how people use it, never from the maker.
Are skills free?
Free skills cost nothing to add. Paid skills show the price before you add them, and makers set their own prices.
