9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 24 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.
Tested by Trilly on 24 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.
Trilly tested version 1.0.1 on 24 October 2026. Version 1.0.3 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.
We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.
| Task | With the skill | Well-prompted AI |
|---|---|---|
| Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: New York (General Business Law 527-a, as revised 7 November 2025): before charging an increased renewal price, get the member's affirmative consent to it, or let them cancel within at least 14 days after the charge with a pro rata refund of the rest of the term | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
| Task 2 of 3: a tricky case What it tested: UK: the DMCC Act 2024's subscription rules apply only to subscription contracts entered into on or after 1 January 2027, and the draft regulations laid on 19 October 2026 must be approved by Parliament first (Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
| Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

Without the skill
I haven't pulled anything yet, so there is no member list or finished Klaviyo draft to give you. Nothing has run in this chat. Here is the plan, and what I'd do once you confirm.
1. Stripe pull (read-only)
2. Emails and send dates The cancel-by date is Monday, December 7, 2026.
| Who | Send date | |
|---|---|---|
| Price-change and renewal notice ($96 to $120 on December 10, cancel by December 7) | NY and CA, with state-specific wording | Thursday, November 12, 2026 |
| Final reminder | Everyone | Thursday, December 3, 2026 |
| Renewal receipt at $120 | Everyone | Thursday, December 10, 2026 |
November 12 appears to fit California's windows (7–30 days before a price change, 15–45 days before an annual renewal) and New York's (15–30 days before the cancel-by deadline). Please have counsel confirm before sending. Both notices need a clear cancel link.
3. Klaviyo After you confirm, I'd create three draft campaigns, one segment per group, signed "Dana, Brightloop", and stop there for your review. Nothing would be scheduled or sent.
4. Charging at renewal: this needs a change Existing subscriptions are attached to the $96 price, so they will renew at $96, not $120, unless we change them. I'd schedule each subscription to move to the $120 price at its December 10 renewal, using Stripe subscription schedules. That is a write action, so I'll wait for your go-ahead. I'd also do it only after the November 12 notice goes out.

SUBSCRIPTION RENEWALS
I would search Stripe for active subscriptions with a current period end of December 10, 2026, reading plan, price, and billing state and country. I'll stop there for your go-ahead, so no list is pulled yet.
| Group | Notice | Send between | Counted from |
|---|---|---|---|
| New York | Renewal and price rise, one email | Tuesday, Nov 10 to Friday, Nov 20, 2026 | 15 to 45 days before the Monday, Dec 7 cancel-by deadline; 5 business days to 30 days before the new price |
| California | Renewal and price change, one email | Tuesday, Nov 10 to Wednesday, Nov 25, 2026 | 15 to 45 days before renewal; 7 to 30 days before the new price |
Price rise: I can't charge $120 "like normal" for New York members. Before the higher charge, New York (General Business Law 527-a) needs either each member's consent to the new price, or the right to cancel for at least 14 days after the charge with a pro rata refund of the rest of the year. Refunds are yours to make in Stripe. California needs the notice above, no consent step.
Draft (New York), saved to Klaviyo only after your yes:
Subject: Your Brightloop price changes on December 10
Hi {{ first name }},
From your renewal on December 10, 2026, Brightloop will cost $120 a year instead of $96. To keep your membership at the new price, confirm here: [consent link]. To cancel instead, use [cancel page link] by December 7, 2026.

Dana, Brightloop
The California draft uses the same text without the consent line and is titled "Your Brightloop renewal and new price." Which route for New York: consent link or the 14-day refund option?
Next steps
| Date | Who | What |
|---|---|---|
| Now | You | Choose the New York route; say yes to the Stripe read |
| Nov 10 | You | Send both emails from Klaviyo; the latest send dates are Nov 20 (NY) and Nov 25 (CA) |
| Dec 7 | Members | Cancel-by deadline |
Log rows: New York, renews December 10, renewal and price rise, Nov 10 to Nov 20, sent on (date) by (who). California, renews December 10, renewal and price change, Nov 10 to Nov 25, sent on (date) by (who).

Add the $120 price, its December 10 start date, the send-by dates and the December 7 cancel-by deadline to your business file?

No reviews or use numbers yet. Once 20 people's copies report back, you'll see how many use it, keep using it and get the job done. The maker can't change them.
StripeRead subscriptions, prices, renewal and trial end dates, and each customer's billing state and country, to group renewals. Stripe stays read only. It only reads.

Give it your subscriber list, or let it read your subscriptions through your AI app's Stripe connection. It groups everyone by renewal date, term, trial and where they are, then works out which notices the rules there need: renewal reminders, yearly reminders, trial endings and price changes. Each comes with the window it must be sent in, counted from the right day, whether that's the renewal date, your cancel-by deadline or the day a new price applies.
It flags price rises that need a customer's consent or a cancel-and-refund option before the higher charge, checks every step of your cancel page against your sign-up, and gives a sign-up terms checklist. On your run day each month, come back (a calendar reminder can prompt you) and it plans the next month's notices and adds to the log of what went out when.
It drafts every notice for you to check. With Klaviyo or Mailchimp connected it saves them as drafts after you say yes, and it can book the monthly run in Google Calendar. It never sends anything, changes a price or moves money. General information, not legal advice.
You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Klaviyo, Mailchimp and Google Calendar, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.
Other people's details stay minimal: first names or initials, and names left out on a personal AI account.
Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.
Works with your apps. If you've connected your payments app, your email or your calendar to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.
Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.
Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.

Which renewal reminders do our California and New York members on yearly plans need, and when?
