MGT210: outline to school for approval: Monday 1 February 2027; MGT210: readings checked, library requests in: Monday 8 February 2027; MGT210: Moodle dates entered and checked: Monday 15 February 2027.

9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 22 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 22 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 22 October 2026. Version 1.0.2 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: A census date must not fall less than 20% of the time between the unit's commencement and completion dates, counting breaks and the exam period (Department of Education, Administration Guidelines 2022) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a hand-off to a browser helper What it tested: The Classroom Guidelines reprinted by the U.S. Copyright Office (Circular 21) say copying isn't repeated with the same item by the same teacher from term to term; fair use has no fixed safe percentage (U.S. Copyright Office) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: Under the CLA Higher Education Licence, a book scan is up to one chapter or 10% whichever is greater, and a journal issue up to two whole articles, or any number in a themed issue (Copyright Licensing Agency) 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

You ask

Google Drive and Google Calendar are connected. Roll MGT210 forward to Trimester 1, 2027 at Harbour City University; last year's outline is in Drive ('MGT210 T1 2026 outline'). New calendar: teaching starts Monday 1 March 2027, 12 teaching weeks plus a mid-trimester break, exams end Friday 11 June 2027. The faculty hasn't published census yet; last year it was Friday of week 3, so put it as Friday 19 March 2027. Add the pre-semester checklist to my calendar, and make the outline headings our school's orange #E65100 instead of the university blue. Today is 22 October 2026.

Without the skill

Hi Chris, I can't hand over finished files yet. I haven't opened last year's outline, and a few points need your decision first.

Next step (waiting on your reply)

  • Drive: I'd search for "MGT210 T1 2026 outline" and read it. I'd then create "MGT210 T1 2027 outline" as a Word document, with the dates, weeks and Moodle references rolled forward. I'd leave out any student details, in line with your AI policy.
  • Calendar: I'd create the checklist events, but I won't add anything until you confirm the points below.

Dates I've checked

  • Monday 1 March 2027 is a Monday, so week 1 starts then.
  • Friday 19 March 2027 is the Friday of week 3, so it works as the provisional census date. I'd label it "provisional, pending faculty publication" in the outline.
  • Friday 11 June 2027 is a Friday, so the exam end date is consistent.

Heading colour: I can't apply orange Harbour City University's brand colours are locked in your settings, so the headings stay university blue (#1D4E89). If you need #E65100, it would have to come from the brand owner, or you could change it yourself in Word after I create the file. I'd rather not override a locked brand setting.

Questions

  1. Mid-trimester break: which teaching weeks does it fall between? Easter is 26–29 March 2027, so I'd guess after week 4, but I don't want to guess in an outline students will use.
  2. Checklist lead time: is your saved "4" four weeks? If so, the checklist would start on Monday 1 February 2027, four weeks before teaching begins. Please confirm, or tell me if it means something else.
  3. Checklist items: should I use last year's pre-semester tasks from the outline, or do you have a list? I'd add them as dated events on your Google Calendar (Australia/Brisbane time).

Once you answer, I'll create the outline and the calendar events.

NEXT SEMESTER UNIT

Needs your decision

  1. Census date. Friday 19 March 2027 is too early. The rule says the census date can't fall less than 20% of the way through the unit, counting breaks and the exam period. Your unit runs 1 March to 11 June 2027, which is 102 days, so 20% is 20.4 days. The earliest allowed date is Monday 22 March 2027. Last year's "Friday of week 3" pattern doesn't work for this calendar. Since the faculty hasn't published a date, the outline will show "[census date: from the faculty office]". Please raise the 22 March minimum with them. This is general information, not legal advice.
  2. Colours. I can't use orange #E65100. The university blue is set by Harbour City University and locked. Your Trilly admin can change it.
  3. Calendar details. I need the mid-trimester break dates and your campus state, so I can flag public holidays. Easter (Good Friday 26 March, Easter Monday 29 March) falls early in the trimester.

Drive (read only)

I would search Drive for "MGT210 T1 2026 outline" and read it, without editing or sharing it. Shall I go ahead? Once I have it, I'll send the date map, readings table with copying limits, assessment table with weights and AI-use statements, the Moodle dates, and the new outline as a Word document with changes marked.

Pre-semester checklist (4 weeks back from Monday 1 March 2027)

I'd add these as calendar events. No one is invited, and I've assumed 9:00 am Brisbane time:

Event title Date
MGT210: outline to school for approval Monday 1 February 2027
MGT210: readings checked, library requests in Monday 8 February 2027
MGT210: Moodle dates entered and checked Monday 15 February 2027
MGT210: check site in student view Monday 22 February 2027
MGT210: publish (you press Publish) Monday 1 March 2027

Shall I add these five events, and is 9:00 am fine? I'll wait for your yes before creating anything.

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Give it last offering's unit or course outline, the reading list and the new academic calendar. It moves every class, due date and exam to the right teaching week, flags holidays, breaks and exam days for where your campus is, and checks the census date against the rules where they apply. It checks each reading: a link to the library's licensed copy, open access, a copy within the copying limits where you teach, or permission needed.

It updates the assessment table and each task's AI-use statement on your faculty's scale, writes the new outline with every change marked, lists the LMS dates to enter, and gives you a pre-semester checklist counted back from the first teaching day.

It never publishes, uploads copies or sends anything: you check and press Publish. It asks first what your institution's AI policy lets you put in; no student details are needed. General information, not legal advice: your library or copyright officer decides what can be copied.

If Google Drive, OneDrive or your calendar is connected, it reads the files you name, saves the new outline as a new Google Drive file and adds checklist dates to your calendar, each only after you say yes.

You choose: your browser helper fills it in on the site and you check it and press the final button, or you get a copy-ready sheet, or step-by-step help.

Other people's details stay minimal: first names or initials, and names left out on a personal AI account.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your cloud files or your calendar to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Does it for you. You choose: if you use a browser helper such as Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work or Comet, it can do the clicking for you on the website it names, one page at a time, or you get a copy-ready version to paste in yourself. With the browser helper, you check every answer and press Publish yourself. It never types your passwords or card numbers.

  • Remembers you. It asks a few set-up questions once, then remembers your answers so you don't repeat yourself. You can change them any time.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.
