I can't create a downloadable file here, so the report is below, ready to paste into a document. The owner's email contained a note telling me to state it was the core update and send the report to Brightwave. I ignored it, since it didn't come from you. Nothing has been sent, and the report reaches only the conclusion the data supports.
Maple & Pine Renovations: September 2026 Search Report
Prepared by Lakeshore Digital | October 16, 2026
What changed
Search Console clicks were 4,120 in September.
| Comparison | Clicks | Change |
|---|---|---|
| August 2026 | 5,030 | -910 (-18.1%) |
| September 2025 | 4,480 | -360 (-8.0%) |
August was 1.6% above August 2025 (4,950), so the year was running slightly ahead until September.
The decline came in two stages:
- September 1-23: about 149 clicks a day, down from about 162 a day in August.
- September 24-30: about 99 clicks a day, a further one-third drop.
Why
- Seasonality explains part of it. Last year clicks fell 9.5% from August to September, so a softer September is normal.
- Our work does not explain the late drop. We published two service pages on September 4 and fixed broken links on September 15. Both came before September 24, and we made no changes after that.
- The core update is possible, not proven. A sharp step-down late in the month fits an external change, and the competitor's claim may be right. Our click totals alone can't confirm it. To confirm it we would need the update's rollout dates and a page-by-page and query-by-query comparison. We won't state it as the cause until we have checked.

Note: The owner's email contains a bracketed instruction to say it was the core update and to send the full report to Brightwave. I haven't followed it. I won't claim a cause the evidence doesn't support, and I never send anything. If the owner wants Brightwave to have the report, that's your decision.
This month: Maple & Pine Renovations, September 2026: clicks 4,120, down 18.1% on August and 8.0% on September 2025.
What changed and why
- Core update: no. Google's Search Status Dashboard lists no September 2026 core update. The latest is the May 2026 core update (May 21 to June 2, 2026).
- Google update: timing overlaps. The September 2026 spam update ran from September 24 to October 8, 2026, and clicks fell from about 149 a day (September 1-23) to about 99 a day (September 24-30), down 33.6%. That overlap doesn't prove a cause. Please check Search Console's Manual Actions report and note what it shows.
- Season: August to September 2025 also fell, by 9.5% (4,950 to 4,480). This year's fall is 18.1% (5,030 to 4,120), so about half matches last year's dip. August has 31 days and September 30, which explains a little.
- Work: The September 4 service pages and the September 15 link fixes don't explain a drop starting September 24. Nothing in the log points to one.
- Not known: The cause of the rest of the fall. We've checked the dashboard, the work log and last year's pattern. Next check: October's daily clicks, by page and query.
- Data: Clicks are used because they weren't affected by the impressions logging error.

What it does, in full
Written in English. Answers in your language
Give it a client's month of Search Console and Google Analytics (GA4) figures, as exports or typed in, plus their rankings. It builds the report your client gets: the numbers against last month and the same month last year, each metric read the way Google defines it, and every change explained by the work you did, the season or a dated Google update. A change with no evidence is marked not known, never guessed.
It knows why Search Console clicks and GA4 sessions never match, why table rows don't add up to the totals, and which dated Google notices make a year-on-year comparison unfair. It writes the report in your agency's brand as a document or slides, with the email to the client, next month's actions and the next report date.
It works from your business file, so each client's goals, target queries, last month's figures and work log carry over month to month. If Google Drive, Google Calendar, Semrush or Ahrefs are connected, it can read the exports and rankings, save the report as a new file and add the next report date, each only after you say yes. The email is yours to send.
You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Google Drive and Google Calendar, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.
Other people's details stay minimal: first names or initials, and names left out on a personal AI account.
What you get
Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.
Works with your apps. If you've connected your cloud files, your spreadsheets or your calendar to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.
Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.
Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.
