9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 21 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.
Tested by Trilly on 21 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.
Trilly tested version 1.0.1 on 21 October 2026. Version 1.0.3 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.
We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.
| Task | With the skill | Well-prompted AI |
|---|---|---|
| Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: Since 2 October 2026 a non-school overseas student can't transfer to another provider before completing 12 months of the principal course (it was 6) without a release or an exception (National Code 2018, Standard 7; Department of Education) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
| Task 2 of 3: a hand-off to a browser helper What it tested: A reduced course load must be authorized by the DSO in SEVIS before the student drops below a full course of study; dropping without prior authorization puts the student out of status (8 CFR 214.2(f)(6)) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
| Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: A federal court postponed the DHS fixed-admission rule's effective date on September 14, 2026, so its F-1 transfer limits aren't in force and the existing transfer process applies (US District Court for the District of Massachusetts; 8 CFR 214.2(f)(8)) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

I haven't created anything yet; these apps can't run here, so below is what I'd set up and where I'd stop.
Check on your manager's point: I agree. ST-114's principal course began on Monday 2 March 2026, so the six-month point was Wednesday 2 September 2026. She is past it, so no release is needed on that ground. Her enrolment with us should stay active until the new provider's CoE is confirmed in PRISMS.
1. Google Sheets tracker (I'd create it in your account)
2. Calendar: I'd add these once I have the dates, as I don't want to invent them:
Please tell me those dates and her current study load, and I'll add the events and stop for your confirmation.
3. Draft email
Subject: Your transfer request
Dear [first name],
Thank you for sending your letter of offer from the other university.
You started your Bachelor of Business on 2 March 2026 and passed the six-month point on 2 September 2026. This means you don't need a release letter from us to transfer.
Please note:
Reply to this email if you have any questions.
Kind regards, Priya, Student Support

REPORTING CLOCKS
Act today: ST-114 is not free to move. Since 2 October 2026 the transfer restriction is 12 months, not 6 (National Code Standard 7). The 12 months run from the principal course start on Monday 2 March 2026, so she is restricted until Tuesday 2 March 2027. Your manager's 6-month count (which ended 2 September 2026) is out of date, and PRISMS won't let her new university create a Confirmation of Enrolment while she is restricted.
What applies: she needs a release from us, or an exception (our course or registration has ceased, a sanction stops the course, or a government sponsor supports the move in writing). We assess her request, with the other university's letter of offer, under our transfer policy and its timeframe, and record the outcome in PRISMS. If we refuse, she gets the reasons in writing and 20 working days to use our internal appeals process. The refusal is finalised in PRISMS only once an appeal upholds it, no appeal is lodged in time, or she withdraws. The decision is yours and your manager's. Please also confirm whether she is under 18, which would need written parental support.
| Case | Event | Counted from | Deadline | Next step, who |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ST-114 | Transfer request | 2 March 2026 | Restricted to 2 March 2027 | Assess under policy, Priya |
If a refusal notice goes out today, the appeal window ends Wednesday 18 November 2026 (day 1 is 22 October, no closures). The reminder falls on Friday 13 November 2026.
Draft reply (holds the decision)
Subject: ST-114: your transfer request
Hi [first name],
Thanks for your transfer request and the letter of offer. We're assessing it under our transfer policy and will write to you by [date from policy] with the outcome and the reasons. For advice about your visa, please contact [the institution's qualified adviser].

What I'd do in your apps (waiting for your yes):
Shall I create the sheet now? Tell me the decision, and I'll draft the release or refusal notice.

No reviews or use numbers yet. Once 20 people's copies report back, you'll see how many use it, keep using it and get the job done. The maker can't change them.

Excel or Google SheetsRead the case export or engagement data, and keep the tracker as a sheet. It asks you before it changes anything.
OutlookFind a case's emails by code, and save notices to students as drafts. It asks first here too.
Outlook Calendar or Google CalendarAdd each reporting deadline and appeal window end. It asks first here too.
Files for youIt creates files for you to keep.
Websites it namesA browser helper fills things in, and stops to ask before anything is sent or changed.

Passwords and paymentsTrilly skills never ask for passwords, codes or payments. If this one does, stop and report it.
Running codeIt can't run code.

The safety details, from the version Trilly checked: what it reads, creates and contacts.
Only if you've connected them to your AI app. It works without them too.
Written in English. Answers in your language
Give it your case export or a list of cases by code. For each event (a student who doesn't start, stops attending or engaging, takes a lighter load, defers, is suspended or cancelled, or falls behind on progress) it finds the rule for your scheme, counts the deadline from the right day in the right unit, and says what must happen first, such as a written notice with an appeal window.
It drafts the notices to students, keeps a tracker with a daily due list and a term summary, and your browser helper can fill the government system after you sign in, stopping before Submit. It gives general information, not legal advice, and never advises a student on their visa: that goes to your qualified adviser.
Case codes only: no name, student number, passport or visa number goes in any file or event. It asks first what your institution's AI policy lets you put in; with rules and templates only, no student case details go in. If your spreadsheet, Outlook or calendar is connected, it can read the export, make the tracker, draft notices and add deadlines, and it asks first. It never sends or submits anything.
You choose: your browser helper fills it in on the site and you check it and press the final button, or you get a copy-ready sheet, or step-by-step help.
Other people's details stay minimal: first names or initials, and names left out on a personal AI account.
Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.
Works with your apps. If you've connected your spreadsheets, your email or your calendar to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.
Does it for you. You choose: if you use a browser helper such as Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work or Comet, it can do the clicking for you on the System's page for this student's record, opened by you after signing in, one page at a time, or you get a copy-ready version to paste in yourself. With the browser helper, you check every answer and press Submit yourself. It never types your passwords or card numbers.
Remembers you. It asks a few set-up questions once, then remembers your answers so you don't repeat yourself. You can change them any time.
Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.
Works with your apps.
Does it for you.
Once it's added, ask your AI something like this. Not sure it loaded? Is my skill working?
Check these 6 international student cases and tell me every reporting deadline and notice due. Today is 21 October 2026.
To check it's working, the answer should start with "REPORTING CLOCKS".
student visa reporting deadline after a student stops attending
notice of intention to report for course progress
