See the difference. Same question, two answers.
9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 16 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.
How Trilly tested it
Tested by Trilly on 16 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.
Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 16 October 2026. Version 1.0.2 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.
See each task and how the test ran
We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.
| Task | With the skill | Well-prompted AI |
|---|---|---|
| Task 1 of 3: a tricky case What it tested: Upholstered furniture sold in the US must carry a permanent label reading 'Complies with U.S. CPSC requirements for upholstered furniture flammability'; hangtags and zip ties are not permanent labels (the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
| Task 2 of 3: a moment that needed a safety step What it tested: Since 30 October 2025 a display label is no longer required on new upholstered furniture in the UK, but the permanent label under the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988 still is (the Office for Product Safety and Standards) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
| Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: In Australia a clothes storage unit 686 mm or taller is toppling furniture: whoever supplies it must have a permanent tip-over and anchoring warning label on it, visible when empty (Consumer Goods (Toppling Furniture) Information Standard 2024) | 3 of 3 | 0 of 3 |
- Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
- Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
- This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.
The whole example
Trilly ran this request on an AI and picked this pair: one example, shortened. The score is from Trilly's test.

Recommendation: Hartwell. Oak & Iron is cheaper before tax ($2,260 vs. $2,420), but it can't meet your 14-day margin. Your dresser must arrive by January 22, 2027 (install February 5 minus 14 days).
- Hartwell: worst case is 12 weeks plus 1 week freight, so a deposit by October 23 lands it by January 22.
- Oak & Iron: 14 weeks means paying in full today. Your 7-day sign-off would have had to start October 9. Ordering October 23 arrives January 29, inside your margin.
Order-by dates
| Item | Client sign-off by | Order/pay by | Supplier check-in | Latest arrival |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hartwell dresser | October 16, 2026 (today) | October 23, 2026 (50% deposit, $1,090) | January 8, 2027 (7 days before the latest ship date, January 15) | January 22, 2027 |
| Lyle sofa | November 6, 2026 | November 13, 2026 | January 15, 2027 (7 days before the latest delivery) | January 22, 2027 |
| Oak & Iron (not advised) | October 9, 2026 (passed) | October 16, 2026 | n/a | January 29, 2027 if ordered October 23 |
Notes
- Hartwell timing: the deposit date has no slack. Send the client the approval request today. If sign-off slips, the dresser arrives inside your margin.
- Hartwell estimates: the ship window is January 1–15 (10–12 weeks from October 23). Best-case arrival is about January 8.
- Lyle compliance: get the TB117-2013 hang tag confirmed in writing before the client signs off, not after.
- Lyle estimates: the 8–10 week window from a November 13 order puts delivery between January 8 and January 22.
- Holidays: both suppliers may run slower in late December, so consider ordering earlier than the dates above.
- Pricing: all figures are before tax. The Hartwell total is $2,420 including freight. The Lyle sofa is $4,600 delivered.

FF&E SCHEDULE
Go with Hartwell for the dresser. It costs $160.00 more landed than Oak & Iron, but it must be ordered by October 23, 2026, while Oak & Iron's order-by date is today, with no slack and full payment upfront. The most urgent date is Hartwell's October 23 order, so client sign-off is needed now.
| Supplier | Landed total | Lead time | Order by | Terms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hartwell, dresser | $2,420.00 | 12 weeks + 1 week transit | October 23, 2026 | 50% deposit |
| Oak & Iron, dresser | $2,260.00 | 14 weeks door to door | October 16, 2026 | Paid in full |
| Lyle, sofa | $4,600.00 | 10 weeks, delivered | November 13, 2026 | Not on quote |
Before tax; no quote shows tax.
Counting back: February 5, 2027 minus 14 days is January 22, 2027.
- Hartwell: minus 7 days transit is January 15; minus 12 weeks (84 days) is October 23, 2026. The clock starts when the deposit clears.
- Oak & Iron: minus 14 weeks (98 days) is October 16, 2026. The clock starts when payment is made.
- Lyle: minus 10 weeks (70 days) is November 13, 2026.
Sign-off due (7 days earlier): Hartwell October 16, Oak & Iron October 9 (already passed), Lyle November 6.
Safety
- Hartwell dresser: Ask. A clothing storage unit made after September 1, 2023 must meet the CPSC tip-over standard, 16 CFR part 1261. Ask Hartwell to confirm it in writing and send its certificate citing 16 CFR part 1261. Anchor it to the wall.
- Oak & Iron dresser: Ask. Same standard, and the quote doesn't give its height. If it's 27 in or taller, the same question applies.
- Sofa: Hold. "Hang tag on request" isn't a permanent label. Upholstered seating needs the permanent CPSC label "Complies with U.S. CPSC requirements for upholstered furniture flammability." Ask Lyle to confirm it's attached before ordering.
| Date | Who | What |
|---|---|---|
| October 16, 2026 | You | Send the certificate question to Hartwell and the label question to Lyle |
| October 16, 2026 | Client | Sign-off on the dresser |
| October 23, 2026 | You | Order the dresser and pay the 50% deposit |
| November 13, 2026 | You | Order the sofa, once cleared |
I can draft the client approval request and the supplier emails next.
Add the Denver bedroom order-by dates (Hartwell dresser: October 23, 2026; Lyle sofa: November 13, 2026) and sign-off status to your business file?

What it does, in full
Written in English. Answers in your language
Give it the quotes for each piece on a project and your install date. It lines the quotes up like for like, with delivery, freight and white glove added in. Then it works out the date you must order each piece by, counting back through the lead time and delivery to your own margin before the install.
Before you order, it checks the product safety and labelling rules for the country the furniture is going to, like tip-over rules for dressers and fire labels on sofas, and tells you what to ask each supplier. It writes your client's sign-off request and keeps a tracker. Then it helps you chase deposits, delivery dates and damage over the weeks.
It never orders, pays, signs or sends anything. Safety points are general information, not legal advice. Keep clients to first names or initials, and leave names out on a personal AI account.
If your email, spreadsheet, calendar or Docusign is connected, it can find supplier quotes, make the schedule as a new sheet, add order-by dates to your calendar and set up a draft envelope for your client to sign. It asks first, and you send.
You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Google Sheets, Excel, Google Calendar, Google Drive and Docusign, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.
What you get
Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.
Works with your apps. If you've connected your email, your spreadsheets, your calendar or your cloud files to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.
Remembers you. It keeps your business file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.
Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.
