Example, shortened, from this skill's page. Someone asks their AI: Wed 21 Oct 2026. I'm on Carer Payment for my dad. My payslips come into Gmail every Thursday… Carer Payments, Carer Leave and the Weekly Earnings Watch answers: Over the limit. Your paid hours total 111 in the last 4 weeks, against the 100-hour limit. Week 1: 24 (counted hours); Week 2: 26 (counted hours); Week 3: 30 (counted hours).

9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 21 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 21 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 21 October 2026. Version 1.0.2 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a hand-off to a browser helper What it tested: Someone in Scotland claims Carer Support Payment from Social Security Scotland instead of Carer's Allowance (GOV.UK and Social Security Scotland, United Kingdom) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: Carer Payment allows up to 100 hours of paid work in a 4-week period, travel time excluded; for temporary extra hours, one respite day covers up to 8 hours over (Services Australia) 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: FMLA needs at least 1,250 hours worked in the 12 months before leave starts, plus 12 months' service at a site with 50 or more employees within 75 miles (US Department of Labor) 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

You ask

Wed 21 Oct 2026. I'm on Carer Payment for my dad. My payslips come into Gmail every Thursday from Harbour Freight. The last 4 weeks I worked 24, 26, 30 and 31 hours (covering a colleague until mid-November), plus about 40 min driving each way. Am I OK? Set up an hours log in Google Sheets and put my reporting days in my calendar.

Without the skill

Short answer: no, you're probably not OK. I'd act on this now.

Carer Payment generally allows up to 25 hours a week of work, study or volunteering, including travel time. Please confirm this with Services Australia, as I can't check your own circumstances.

Week Work Travel (80 min per shift) Total
1 24 h at least 1 h 20 min 25 h 20 min or more
2 26 h plus travel over 25 h
3 30 h plus travel over 25 h
4 31 h plus travel over 25 h

With four or five shifts a week, travel adds roughly 5 to 7 hours. That puts you around 30 to 38 hours a week. Your 90% warning point is 22.5 hours, and you've been past it for all four weeks.

What I'd do next:

  1. Call Services Australia's Carer line on 132 717, or use myGov, before mid-November. Explain that the extra hours are temporary and ask what it means for your payment.
  2. Keep your payslips. Your income may also affect the payment.
  3. Ask whether you can reduce your hours or travel, or whether any exemption applies.

What I'd set up, once you confirm (nothing has been created yet):

Gmail: search for payslips from Harbour Freight, covering the last 5 weeks. I'd read the hours and shift days so the figures are real, not estimates.

Google Sheets: create "Carer Payment Hours Log" with these columns:

  • Week ending (Thursday)
  • Work hours
  • Shifts
  • Travel hours (shifts × 1.33)
  • Total hours (work plus travel)
  • Limit (25)
  • % of limit
  • Status

The status formula would show "WARNING" at 90% or more (22.5 hours) and "OVER" above 100%. I'd pre-fill your four weeks and add rows through mid-November.

Google Calendar: add your reporting days as recurring events with a reminder the day before, and a weekly Thursday event to log each payslip.

I need from you:

  • Your Centrelink reporting days. Are they fortnightly, and which day was your last one?
  • How many shifts you work each week.

(answer cut for length)

With the skill

CARER PAYMENTS AND EARNINGS

Over the limit. Your paid hours total 111 in the last 4 weeks, against the 100-hour limit. The driving doesn't count, so I've left it out. This is general information, not financial advice, and Services Australia decides.

Pay period Counted hours Limit Status Told Services Australia
Week 1 24 100 per 4 weeks running total 24 not needed
Week 2 26 100 per 4 weeks running total 50 not needed
Week 3 30 100 per 4 weeks running total 80 not needed
Week 4 31 100 per 4 weeks running total 111, over not yet

You went past "close" (90 hours) in week 4 and over the limit by 11 hours.

What keeps the payment: respite days. One covers up to 8 hours over the limit, so 11 hours needs 2 days (you get up to 63 a calendar year). Services Australia's example allows this for temporary extra work of under 12 weeks, which fits cover until mid-November. In your next fortnightly income and hours report, choose to use respite days for the hours over 100. Check the 4-week period in your work hours summary in myGov, as it may not match your pay weeks. If the extra hours continue with no respite days left, the payment can be suspended for up to 6 months.

Tell them about the change within 14 days, even if you use respite days. Report every employer's hours, even if zero.

What I'd do, then wait for your yes:

  1. Gmail (read-only): search for emails from Harbour Freight, then read the last 4 Thursday payslips to confirm the hours.
  2. Google Sheets: create "Carer hours log" with columns Pay period, Counted hours, Running 4-week total, Limit, Status, Told the office. Add 4 rows (hours above) and a note for each row.
  3. Google Calendar: I need your reporting day first. Which weekday do you report, and when did you last report? Meanwhile, I'd add "Check payslip" on Thursday 22 October 2026, and again on each Thursday until Thursday 19 November 2026.

Shall I go ahead with the sheet and reminders?

Add the 2 respite days, the 100-hour limit and the mid-November end of cover to your money file?

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

Tell it who you care for, your caring hours and your work. It lists the carer payments you and the person you care for can claim where you are, with every condition, including how much you can earn or work while you get them. Your browser helper can fill in the online claim after you sign in, and it stops before the declaration so you read it and submit it yourself.

Each payslip is checked against the earnings or work-hours limit, in a log that warns you before you go over and tells you what to tell the benefit office, and by when. It also writes your carer's leave or flexible work request for your employer.

It can find payslip emails in Gmail or Outlook (read only), keep the log in Google Sheets and add reminders to Google Calendar, each only after you say yes. It never submits, declares, sends or moves money, and it gives general information, not financial or legal advice.

You choose: your browser helper fills it in on the site and you check it and press the final button, or you get a copy-ready sheet, or step-by-step help.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your email, your spreadsheets or your calendar to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Does it for you. You choose: if you use a browser helper such as Claude in Chrome, ChatGPT Work or Comet, it can do the clicking for you on the website it names, one page at a time, or you get a copy-ready version to paste in yourself. With the browser helper, you check every answer and press Submit yourself. It never types your passwords or card numbers.

  • Remembers you. It keeps your money file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.
