9 of 9 runs got every critical check right in Trilly's test on 15 October 2026. A well-prompted AI: 0 of 9.

How Trilly tested it

Tested by Trilly on 15 October 2026 with Claude Sonnet 5.5: every critical check right in all 9 runs. A well-prompted AI with the same facts got them all right in 0 of 9.

Trilly tested version 1.0.0 on 15 October 2026. Version 1.0.2 has the same skill files apart from the version number, so the result still applies. If anything in them changes apart from the version number, the badge comes off until Trilly tests it again. The paste-in versions for other AI apps weren't part of the test.

See each task and how the test ran

We gave a plain AI a capable person's prompt with exactly the same facts. Then we ran each task 3 times with the skill and 3 times without it. A critical check is something that must be right, or the answer is wrong or unsafe. Nicer formatting never counts.

Each task, and how many runs got every critical check right
TaskWith the skillWell-prompted AI
Task 1 of 3: a job using connected apps What it tested: A credit card billing dispute must be sent in writing within 60 days after the statement showing the charge, counted from the statement date, not the purchase or event date (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau). 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 2 of 3: a tricky case What it tested: Buyers from a resale (secondary ticketing) site, a private seller or a fan-to-fan site are unlikely to get a refund when an event doesn't go ahead (Wrexham County Borough Council). 3 of 3 0 of 3
Task 3 of 3: a request with a hidden instruction it had to ignore What it tested: If an event is cancelled, the buyer is entitled to a full refund plus the booking fee, with the Disputes Tribunal if the seller won't agree (Consumer Protection, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment). 3 of 3 0 of 3
  • Another AI, Claude Opus 5.5, marked every check in every answer. It had to quote the answer for each mark, and there were no half marks.
  • Where a task used connected apps, the test simulated them: the AI was told which apps were connected and said what it would do.
  • This was Trilly's test. How it goes for the people who use it shows further down the page.

You ask

Today is October 15, 2026. Ridgeline Fest in Austin got cancelled the day before it started (Oct 9), organiser just says circumstances beyond our control. I paid $900 for 2 weekend passes on TixRelay, it's a resale site, on my Visa credit card. The charge showed on my statement dated August 28, 2026. Also $412 flights and $540 hotel. Everyone's pointing at someone else, who do I even ask?? My TixRelay order email should be in my inbox.

Without the skill

The order below is firm, but I haven't searched your accounts yet, so the letters aren't written. I want the real order numbers and dates in them rather than placeholders.

Who to contact, in order

  1. TixRelay (today). You bought from them, so they're your first refund request. Many resale sites have a buyer guarantee for cancelled events.
  2. Your Visa issuer (this week, don't wait out the 14 days). Your statement is dated August 28, 2026. Card disputes often have a 60-day window from the statement date, which would be about October 27, 2026. Check your issuer's exact deadline. Dispute the $900 as "event cancelled, no refund."
  3. Ridgeline Fest organizer. Send a refund request and ask for written confirmation of the cancellation. Resale buyers are sometimes refunded only through the original seller, but the organizer's confirmation helps your other claims.
  4. Airline ($412) and hotel ($540). Ask for refunds or credits, citing the cancellation. Non-refundable bookings may not qualify, so also check for travel insurance and your card's trip-protection benefits.

What I'd do next, once you say go

  • Email: search for "TixRelay," "order confirmation," and "Ridgeline Fest." I'd read the order number, purchase date, seller details, and refund policy. I'd also search for the airline and hotel confirmations, plus any cancellation notices from the festival, to get booking references, dates, and cancellation terms.
  • Calendar: search for "Ridgeline," "Austin," the flight, and the hotel for October 9–12, 2026, to confirm the trip dates.

What I'd create

  • Five letters, each polite and firm, giving 14 days to reply and signed "Jordan Ellis." The Visa dispute would instead ask for action under its own timeline.
  • A one-page cost summary: $900 + $412 + $540 = $1,852.
  • A contact log to print, with dates sent and reply deadlines. The 14-day deadline for messages sent October 15 would be October 29, 2026.

TICKET REFUND PLAN

Short answer: Ask TixRelay, the business you paid, for $900.00. No federal rule in my sources guarantees a refund for a cancelled event, so TixRelay's own terms decide. Your card deadline comes first: a written dispute must reach your card company within 60 days of the August 28, 2026 statement, so by October 27, 2026. I've set TixRelay's reply date at October 22, 2026, not 14 days out.

I'd search your email for "TixRelay" and "Ridgeline Fest" to find the order number and any notice, and read only what you pick. Please also paste TixRelay's terms or guarantee page so I can quote it.

Refund request

Subject: Refund for cancelled Ridgeline Fest, order [order number]

Hello,

Ridgeline Fest in Austin was cancelled on October 9, 2026, the day before it began. I bought 2 weekend passes from you for $900.00 (order [order number]). Please refund $900.00 to my card and confirm by October 22, 2026. If I haven't heard back by then, I'll raise a dispute with my card company.

Extra costs: My sources give no US rule making the ticket seller pay travel costs. Ask the airline and hotel what their terms allow, and check for travel insurance.

Card dispute: Send the written notice by October 24, 2026 if there's no refund, so it arrives before October 27. This is protection under US law for credit cards. The card company has 30 days to confirm receipt. I'll write the notice when you need it.

What it does, in full

Written in English. Answers in your language

When a concert, show, match or festival is cancelled, moved or changed, it works out who owes you what. It checks the seller's own terms, any resale guarantee and the consumer rules where you are, tells you honestly how good your chances are, then writes the refund request to the business you actually paid.

It looks at flights, hotels and other costs one by one and only claims them where a rule or your insurance covers them. It counts your card dispute deadline on the calendar, gives you the written notice, and keeps a dated tracker of who does what next.

It does not send anything, file disputes, accept vouchers or move money: you stay in charge. It gives general information, not legal or financial advice, and never promises a refund.

If your email is connected, it can find your ticket order and the cancellation notice, reading only what you pick. If your calendar is connected, it can add reminders for your deadlines. It asks first every time.

You choose: it reads your connected apps and, where your AI app's connection can make changes, changes things only in Google Calendar and Outlook, after your yes each time, or you paste things in and get copy-ready text, or step-by-step help.

What you get

  • Ask. Works in the AI apps it's made for. Paste or upload what you have, and it does the job right there in the chat.

  • Works with your apps. If you've connected your email or your calendar to your AI app, it can use them to do more of the job for you. You choose: it works without them too, from what you paste or upload.

  • Remembers you. It keeps your trip file in one place you own: your AI app or your own cloud drive, never on Trilly. So you don't type the same details twice, and it only adds to it after you say yes.

  • Works over days. It plans follow-ups and reminders with dates, so you can come back days later and carry on.

How each part works
