What's changed in Essay Coach: Plan, Paraphrase, Reference

Versions that passed Trilly's checks, newest first.

1. Version 1.0.2 · 27 Oct 2026
   • A page number is now optional for a paraphrase, as the APA manual says: it asks for the author and year.
   • The worked example no longer says the year comes after the title, and the example patterns use different names from the worked example.
   • It now says plainly that it will not help get work past Turnitin or an AI detector.
   • Two lines written for businesses (about an AI notice on documents) are gone from the student version.
2. Version 1.0.1 · 27 Oct 2026

   The reference checker now lists each mistake with the rule behind it and a pattern on a different source, and does not hand back a corrected list the student could paste in.

   What else changed in version 1.0.1

   • The page-range pattern now shows the real en dash, not a placeholder.
   • It no longer points to skills that are not on Trilly yet: for a whole draft it says it does not review one.
   • The thesis test, the plan and its schedule, and the paraphrase check work as before.
