Without the skill

Without the skill. You ask: Kia ora. Photographer in Wellington. In August Kowhai Skincare paid my quote for a brand shoot. The quote just says 'Brand shoot, 1 day, 40… The answer: Kia ora Mere, Short answer (general information, not legal advice): 1. Invoicing for extra use: probably not, unless they agree. Under the Copyright Act 1994, the photographer is generally the first owner of copyright in commissioned photographs, since the old rule favouring the commissioner was removed in 1998 for works made after that. So you likely still own the copyright. But with a silent quote, Kowhai Skincare has an implied licence to use the images for the purpose of the commission, and a brand shoot arguably covers marketing use. You have no contractual basis to demand a fee for bus shelters and packaging. What you can do is propose a licence, and they may well agree to pay to avoid dispute. Treat it as a negotiation rather than an invoice they must pay.

  1. Link

Link Claude to Trilly, once. Any Claude plan can link, on the web or the desktop app. See the steps

    What you need
    • Any Claude plan: Free, Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise.
    • On the Free plan you can add one custom connector, which is what Claude calls an app like Trilly.
    • On Team and Enterprise plans members can't add one: an Owner adds Trilly in Organization settings, Connectors. Then you press Connect.
    • Add it on claude.ai or in the desktop app. It's then in Claude on your phone too.
    • We linked Claude to Trilly on 19 October 2026, on claude.ai with the Max plan. We haven't added a skill from a Claude chat yet.
    • Can't link? Download skills and add them by hand
  2. Add

Ask Claude for a skill, for example: "find a free skill on Trilly for my budget and add it".

    Your first skill in Claude
    • Back in a chat, ask Claude: "find a free skill on Trilly for my budget and add it". Or ask for a skill by the name on its Trilly page. Claude shows you what it's about to do. After that, ask as normal: when a request matches one of your skills, Claude gets the latest checked version from Trilly.
  3. Ask

Ask as you normally would. Want it to use your email or calendar? Connect them in Claude first.

    Connecting apps in Claude
    • In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. Pick the app, press Connect, and sign in on that app's own page. In a chat, press + and Connectors to switch one on or off. Keep anything that changes things on Needs approval.
    • Checked 12 October 2026 on the app makers' own pages. Connected apps, explained

Questions people ask

What's the best AI skill for photographers, designers and videographers?

On Trilly, Usage Rights and Licences for Client Work by Trilly Originals is made for photographers, designers and videographers. Know who owns your client work, charge properly when a client goes beyond the licence, and keep every renewal on track. None has enough use to rank yet.

Which AI apps do these skills work with?

Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, plus coding apps such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot. Every skill's Add to my AI page offers a copy for each of them, with the steps for your app. The apps a skill was tested in are marked, and the rest say they're not tested in that app yet. If an app can't do part of a skill, that app's step says so.
