Doing more in Claude

Works with your apps: Yes

Claude connects to hundreds of apps on every plan, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Notion, Canva, Shopify, HubSpot and Xero.

In Gmail, Claude can write, send, reply to and forward emails, and by default it asks for your approval before it sends, replies or forwards. Outlook needs a work or school Microsoft 365 account.

To switch it on: In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. Pick the app, press Connect, and sign in on that app's own page. In a chat, press + and Connectors to switch one on or off. Keep anything that changes things on Needs approval.

Does it for you: Yes, on paid plans

Claude in Chrome: Any paid Claude plan (Pro is from US$20 a month), in Google Chrome on a computer. No country limit is stated.

To switch it on: Add Claude in Chrome from the Chrome Web Store and sign in with your Claude account. Choose Manually approve, so it asks before each step, and never Skip all approvals. You may need to attach files yourself.

You choose: let Claude in Chrome fill in the website for you (you check it and press the final button), or get a copy-ready version to paste yourself.

On a free plan, it still works in the chat, and you fill in the website yourself.

  • Calendar (for example Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar): Add the internal deadline and each check-in to your own calendar: Google Calendar, or Outlook through Microsoft 365 where the admin allows. Creates: Reminder events for the internal deadline and each check-in, each only after a yes. Never invites anyone. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: Each reminder is given as Title, Date and Time lines to add by hand, or as a calendar file (.ics) if the app can make files.
  • Email (for example Outlook; Gmail only reads): Save each co-investigator chase as an Outlook draft where the admin allows, and read the replies you pick. Gmail is read only. Reads: Replies from team members that you pick Creates: Outlook: one draft chase email per team member, only after a yes. Never sends. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: Each chase is written in the chat for you to copy and send.
Where your information goes
