Doing more in Claude

Works with your apps: Yes

Claude connects to hundreds of apps on every plan, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Notion, Canva, Shopify, HubSpot and Xero.

In Gmail, Claude can write, send, reply to and forward emails, and by default it asks for your approval before it sends, replies or forwards. Outlook needs a work or school Microsoft 365 account.

To switch it on: In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors. Pick the app, press Connect, and sign in on that app's own page. In a chat, press + and Connectors to switch one on or off. Keep anything that changes things on Needs approval.

Does it for you: Yes, on paid plans

Claude in Chrome: Any paid Claude plan (Pro is from US$20 a month), in Google Chrome on a computer. No country limit is stated.

To switch it on: Add Claude in Chrome from the Chrome Web Store and sign in with your Claude account. Choose Manually approve, so it asks before each step, and never Skip all approvals. You may need to attach files yourself.

You choose: let Claude in Chrome fill in the website for you (you check it and press the final button), or get a copy-ready version to paste yourself.

On a free plan, it still works in the chat, and you fill in the website yourself.

Reads: Products with their HS code, country of origin and price; Recent orders shipped to other countries, with destination country and order value only Doesn't create or change anything. Without it: You paste or export the product list and the orders, and the settings to change come step by step.
  • Email (for example Gmail or Outlook): Find the commercial invoice, packing list and the broker's draft entry for a shipment. Reads: Emails from the supplier or broker you name, and only the ones you pick Doesn't create or change anything. Without it: You paste or upload the documents, and the reply to the broker comes copy-ready in the chat.
  • Spreadsheets (for example Google Sheets or Excel): Keep the landed-cost log across shipments. Reads: The landed-cost log you name Creates: Google Sheets only: a new landed-cost log, and one new row per shipment, each after a yes. Never changes other sheets. Asks you before it creates or changes anything. Without it: The log comes as a copy-ready table, or an .xlsx file if the app can make files.
